Whats everyones opinions on Joe Cole joining Arsenal?

A lot of rumblings that we are the front runners for his services.

Personally, I think they're more pressing needs at this moment in time, but I won't turn down anyone with experience, or any new signing at all for that matter.

I'm all for it. He'd be coming in on a free, so we wouldn't be spending any transfer funds, and we could use some quality veteran presence given how young the team is.

I wouldn't mind either. He's experienced and I think he would do well in a system where he could express his creativity

And rsn, my plan is to get a Ramsey jersey next season

Joe Cole's wage demands are riduclously absurd, I doubt we get him. I'd rather get a defender (or two) and a goalkeeper. And if Cesc leaves, Gourcuff.

Arsenal have told Barcelona that Cesc Fábregas is not for sale after rejecting a £33m bid for the player

Apparently Barca finally put in an actual bid for Cesc, and we nicely said no thanks. I hope this is all true about us telling them he's clearly not for sale, and that if they offer more, we simply tell them no, he's not for sale. Period.

"To be clear, we will not make any kind of counterproposal or enter into any discussion. Barcelona have publicly stated that they will respect our position and we expect that they will keep their word."

With something like that being made public by Arsenal, it will only hurt the image of Barca if they continue to push.

Also, with all the talk they've been doing in the media, not that it will happen, but technically couldn't UEFA or FIFA get involved since he's under a long term contract?

Not quite. He can still buy out the remainder of his contract.

I think that article is a load of crap, since it describes him as "stressed" and "powerless" but then says that people are awaiting an official transfer request from Cesc. The article cites no sources to back any of this up, and does anyone really think Cesc is so desperate to leave Arsenal that he'll spend 28.6 million, or that he is searching for something, anything, even a loophole to get out of North London? That article is ludicrous.

                    That article is complete BS.

I know Cesc wants to go to Barcelona, but he is way too loyal to Wenger to pull a stunt like that. If he were to pull something like this, then he would go from a hero at Arsenal, to maybe one of the most hated players ever. At least from my perspective.

Oh, I wasn't saying that Cesc would in any way pull that move. I just wanted to point out that the situation isn't completely in Arsenal's control. Cesc still has a way out, even as unlikely as it is that he'd opt out of his contract for that huge of a sum of money.

                              The best? No, not true.

To me, there are 3 managers that are above everyone else, then there's a second tier of elite manager.

Wenger is in that second tier.
