Some good news on the Walcott front. His injury appears to be minor and he could be in contention for the CL game on Wednesday.

I hope this game put to bed any talk of dropping Song from the squad.

The guy is massive and easily one of the best DMs in the EPL for me.

Yup, Song is very underrated and gets a lot undeserved flack because no one else outside of the back 4 want to defend.

Good second half yesterday, I thought Theo looked very good especially once Petrov decided that he wouldn't help Robinson anymore in the second half.

Good news that Walcott won't be out for long hopefully. I agree that RvP is the right captain for the club. Hopefully we have turned the corner for good this time.

Although I'm hopeful as well, all it will take is a 3-1 defeat to Tottenham with an Adebayor-sparked riot to sour the mood again.

I think the game is at Spurs, so the riot won't happen...yet.

My mistake. I am waiting for a knee-slide from him right in to the Arsenal bench though.

He doesn't care about the squad. He cares more about trolling the fans. I hope this time he runs over to their section and moons them.

Jack Wilshire had surgery today on his right ankle and Arsenal have said he will be sidelined from anywhere from 4 to 5 months! Ouch! Bad news for the Gunners and for England.

**** England. We're paying his wages.

This is why it would've been nice to spend some money on some such as Juan Mata.

Yes, but look at it this way, we will now have Wilshere back by the middle or end of January and he will be almost like a brand new signing! We're already active in the winter transfer market!

Saw a report on Sunday that Man City is preparing to make a huge bid in January for RVP. I pray that Wenger hangs onto him. We saw on Saturday how much of a difference-maker he can be.

There is no way Wenger sells him in January. You see how long he waited with Cesc and Nasri because he believed he could convince them to stay, and I think the same will happen with RVP. And that's only if RVP actually does want to leave the club, and we have seen no evidence of that. If our season doesn't improve, however, a desire to leave might become a real possibility.

well, also RVP is 28. as a smart guy, he needs to capitalize as much as possible this last contract. Arsenal do not pay as high wages as other clubs. if he can get more else where, i do understand thinking about long term family decisions...

Unfortunately, I have seen nothing that Wenger (or the office) have done to make me think that RvP wouldn't be "looking" at the end of the year.

I think RvP, and to a degree Song, are definitive parts of Arsenal - and if we lost either of those players, well, don't want to think about that right now.

Could anyone blame RvP for being a bit disenfranchised with the happenings of the last two (maybe more) seasons?
