If Walcott leaves too, then yes, we have a real problem on our hands.

I am not, however, willing to throw in the towel on next season or the club's future in general, all because RVP pulled a jerk move in the way he handled wanting to leave the club.

Yes, Arsenal's wage structure is a joke. Yes, the financial system in soccer that allows clubs like Man City to buy titles is broken (and since I doubt "Financial Fair Play" will be enforced, this isn't going to end anytime soon).

However, before the RVP news broke we were all praising the club for buying Podolski and Giroud and for getting things done quickly for once. And I don't think any of us thought Arsenal's transfer business was done. If we reinvest the money we get for RVP in 1 or 2 top quality players, I'll be ecstatic.

This doesn't mean I'm not upset right now, but I think we all have to wait and see what the end result of this whole RVP fiasco is before we start the doom-and-gloom scenarios.

Even if we kept RVP, we'd still be in a massive fight for CL qualifying again. Spurs are not going away with AVB taking the wheel, and Newcastle will still be a strong challenge.

So, with RVP leaving, a lot of work needs to be done. Not just in transfers, either. Our defense needs sorted, and perhaps Pat Rice leaving will have some positive changes. Perhaps someone else working with them will help.

My expectations are pretty low for next season. I don't think we'll start as awful as last year, but we're not going to be too feared of a side, that is for sure.

Maybe we can win the League Cup. Just maybe.

Man City want to be like Barcelona in more ways than just winning.

Kolo Touré wants Robin van Persie to leave Arsenal for Manchester City
Kolo Touré has said that Manchester City's Champions League chances would receive a major boost if Robin van Persie was to leave Arsenal for the Etihad

That took longer than I thought it would. You're up next, Samir.

Speculation has been swirling around Arsene Wenger and his Arsenal squad. Everyone wants to know how they will replace star striker Robin van Persie at the top of their attack next season...

Jovetic could be a good replacement for RVP.

He has great potential but Chelsea and Tottenham are also looking at him I am curious to see how it plays out.

What would everyone think if RVP changed his mind and resigned. Lot's of rumors out there and I know it's crazy season, but just wanting to see where everyone would stand.

Yeah the way he went about doing it, I see no way back for him now. Sell to the highest bidder.

30M tag rules out Arsenal. So there's that.

Yep probably looking at Robert Lewandowski now. Who I do like but he isn't as skilled on the ball as Jovetic but is a good poacher. I would prefer Jovetic as we don't need another poacher type since Arsenal have Giroud. We shall see what happens.

Lewandowski at least can fit in the league physically. Although I still don't see Dortmund selling him.
