I'm hopeful Cesc will stay. Wenger needs to reassure him that he's (Arsene) there to win and buy him a defensive midfielder to free Cesc up to play more in the attack. Losing Flamini is the biggest reason why we're in the position we're currently at. Denilson is a good player, but he's not the answer for a defensive midfielder, Flamini was quality last season.

I think Cesc will realize he's the captain and that the club needs him. He doesn't seem as self-centered as most players today, he seems like a team-first kind of player.

Cesc won't leave, he can't! Keep the faith, we're gonna get Arshavin fit and moving Emman Adebayor out of the starting line up due to injury is a blessing in disguise.

We desperately need a CDM.. our play in the middle 3rd is atrocious...

        Yes it is.

But with the midfield that we have trotted out the past month or so, its really not that big a shocker.

No, it's not, but I expect Arshavin coupled with our other new signings Cesc, Eduardo and Rosicky (coming back from injury) will make a big difference. Too bad our team couldn't have been like this entering the season. As long as Song is out of the starting 11 I'll be happy.

            Whats the status on Rosicky?

Has it been confirmed that he is nearing his return? It seems like every time they say he's coming back, they turn right around and say he will be out another 3 months.

Well, [bleep]. FSC is no longer airing the Arsenal/Cardiff FA Cup game on Monday afternoon. When it was first rescheduled their website said it would be shown live... but now we get replays of ManU/Derby and an Italian game in that time slot. At least I have the day off, so I can probably find it online...

Hopefully Setanta has it so I can watch it online.

I hope to see Eduardo back.

He scored on a header of all things. Awesome to see him score on his return. Arsenal are really playing like the Arsenal of old today. They have been in control the entire first half.

The score should at least be 3-0 as Bendtner had Arsenal's miss of the season so far in the closing seconds of the first half. Had the whole left side of goal after a rebound and somehow managed to shoot it right back at the keeper. It took another deflection right back to him and he proceeds to kick it off the post.

Bendtner hit the post first, then hit the keeper's arm/shoulder with the second attempt, but yeah, it was brutal. Thankfully it was 2-0 at the time...

I have to agree that they look a different team today. Vela (why hasn't AW used him more on the left? much better than playing Denilson/Diaby/Eboue out wide) and Nasri look dangerous on the flanks, while Bendtner & Eduardo are finding openings in the box. I know it's Cardiff, but they've struggled to create chances against 'weaker' teams most of the season, so it's still encouraging. Just think, Arshavin & Walcott will soon be in the mix as well...

John Champion also said that Cesc will be ready in about 3 or 4 weeks during today's game.

                              4-nil to the Arsenal!

Well that was refreshing! Even Bendtner looked somewhat threatening today, aside from his occasionally clumsy touches. Hopefully they can carry it over against Sunderland this weekend to get a vital three points...
