None of the links I can find yet are from a source I'd find credible, but they're all saying we beat Chelsea for the signing.

Definitely not getting excited until this becomes remotely credible.

Attitudes aside, what do you guys think would be better for us between Suarez and Gustavo?

Suarez with no attitude? If so then Suarez, easily.

Yeah that's what I thought, but you can't take his attitude away, so I wonder if he's gonna do the same thing he's doing to Liverpool in the future if he signs with us

                  Of course he would.

Do not forget that this is a guy who intentionally bit another person on the field, twice, while at different clubs.

We've dealt with some ****ty transfer sagas in past years between Cesc, Nasri, and RVP. However, none have ever went to a newspaper to do an interview and tell them how much they want to leave their club like Suarez did.

I'm fairly sure I'd rather finish fourth without him than second with him.

Sky Sports says we're close to signing Gustavo, and the Guardian has picked up on the story as well,so we're finally seeing it reported by more reliable sources:

Arsenal have moved closer to signing the Bayern Munich midfielder Luiz Gustavo while they continue to test Liverpool's resolve over Luis Suárez

                      Suarez.

That's not even debatable and I like Gustavo a lot.

Even two signings won't close all the squad holes. We're two injuries away from fielding a 6-man bench.

Agreed. If Gustavo and Suarez/Another striker do come in, I still think we're weak in the back and need a CB.

Also, Gustavo confirms the Arsenal interest: http://www.espn.co.uk/football/sport/story/229209.html

I'm actually impressed this year with how we've managed to clean out the players that we needed to.

If only we made a few quality signings, then I wouldn't want to have myself committed when I had thoughts of a title possibility.

We took the first steps, and now we're just...yeah.
