Apparently we are making a run at Yoann Gourcuff with Lyon club president Jean-Michel Aulas telling French media that Gourcuff is willing to take a pay cut to come to the Emirates.

Gustavo's going to make a statement about his future on Thursday. That's not the way you usually announce a transfer, or that you are leaving, so this could be bad news.

Not to mention Monreal will miss the start of the season, so we don't have much cover at LB, either.
Last year we actually had a solid back four at most points, which definitely helped with our defensive improvement. This season, it looks like we could be returning to a few seasons ago.Comment
