Also, Demba Ba on loan is smart if it goes through since we need quality depth.

It's looking like about 95% that we get Ozil. I like this deal a lot.

            Ozil
            Ba
            Viviano

I would call that a successful day.

Ozil is coming to London. Holy crap I can't believe it! I wanted that guy when he was playing for Werder Bremen.

We finally have our Cesc replacement!

                Is this happening?!

                So exciting.

He will be announced at 6pm per multiple reports. It's because he's filming a commercial with the german national team.

Also, it's been reported that we enquired about Javier Pastore from PSG

I suppose they're gonna announce the GK at the same time?

EDIT: Palermo just confirmed that it's official.

Viviano officially with Arsenal on a season long loan. Don't know much about him. Is he good?

Yes, he's good. He played a big part in Fiorentina nabbing 4th last year. He's not World Class or spectacular, but he's known for not making stupid mistakes, has solid hands, is great at coming out and grabbing balls in the air, and is a decent shot blocker.

I think the loan with option to buy is perfect, as this gives SZCZ a year to develop behind him, and if Viviano has a great season, we can bring him back next year.

Edit: Sky Sports is now claiming Viviano will be SZCZ's back-up. Personally, I'd rather see SZCZ as the back-up. But hey, at least we now have a better 2nd choice then Fab.

What I like most about him is his confidence in come out in grabbing balls in the air, which is huge in the EPL. He has great aerial presence and hopefully we see that that transfer well into the EPL. Overall, I like this signing even though he isn't as quick as Scesny.

On another note hate to be a killjoy but even as a huge fan of Ozil I am not too much of a fan of this signing for over 40 euros. Still doesn't address the fact that we don't have another holding midfielder unless you count Flamini. I guess we will just have to wait and see how these final hours will turn out but I am trying not to get my hopes up yet.

You know what when I think about it maybe I should count Flamini right..he has veteran experience I also did like his leadership on the pitch against Tottenham. I just don't know how he will hold up over the season.
