I've been saying this for months now, and I'm worried if we go ahead with him next year. He's still too damn young and raw. When he's on, he can do great things, but he still makes far too many mistakes.

I honestly don't think we would. I think if Sagna leaves, we buy another RB who is proven that Jenkinson can compete with. We had already been linked with a few players in the Summer.

As for tonight, one less thing we have to worry about this year. Take the league, boys!

A creative forward that can take on defenders and open up a defense is a must, Either that or some who can actually provide service into the box to Giroud. Otherwise teams are really going to start parking the bus against arsenal just like Chelsea did and wait for the counter. Hopefully Walcott and Chamberlain will be back soon

it wasn't a strong line up for us. it sucks to have to play these cup games with little rest between games. we demand trophies but honestly this might be better over the long run to keep players rested for the more important matches.

Ozil didn't start and up until today, he was the one who was doing almost all of what you said. Getting Ox, Walcott, and Podolski back will help a ton. It was a disappointing result, but that's life. Liverpool, Dortmund, and United are next so I would have done the same thing AW did in putting out a slightly weaker side. Let's face it - the league is our priority this season and we're in a good position so I'd rather keep our players fit for those games than games like today. I want to see them win it all, but that's impossible.

On Jenkinson, he was poor, but I'm going to stick by the kid. I think/hope he'll be a decent back, but yeah, that goal was.....ugggh

We had to play with even less rest between games but the powers that be wanted a prime-time Sunday game for us with Citeh. I think our squads were fairly even with us having the slight edge in experience. We dominated possession for the most part but it wasn't like we were testing your keeper that often. We were gifted another goal and then finished it off with a moment of brilliance from a world-class player currently on the bench. With the upcoming fixture list it will be interesting to see how you guys fare, especially considering you're a little light on players due to injuries.

I worry because our lack of depth has cost us - see Arsenal in 2007-08, 2009-10, and 2010-11. You're right about that. The one thing is that we're winning games that we would have lost in those years so that counts for something.

I just think Jenkinson needs some more playing time. A loan would really benefit is development, hopefully Wenger see this as well. Arsenal could really use another proficient Side Back to back up Sagna while Jenkinson goes on loan. I really do hope we do keep Sagna though because he is just too of a consistent player to not keep for a little while longer.

What a win! I wasn't able to catch the whole game but I saw that Ramsey strike and almost fell out in excitement. He impresses me week in and out. I will say I hope that the Gibbs injury isn't too serious but seeing his history I am expecting the worse. Also hats off to Szcensy he played with so much confidence today and he needed it to keep both Sturridge and Suarez off the score line. I am very surprised he ended up with a clean sheet in this game!

They've been quoted as the best strike force in the EPL, and rightfully so, feels good to shut them out.

This feels nice, and it's a great way to head into the Dortmund rematch.

Ramsey's goal was brilliant, and he's scoring for fun right now. Cazorla, meanwhile, should get a huge amount of credit for his goal. Not only was the finish great, but a lot of players would have stood there and watched their header hit the post. But as soon as Cazorla headed the ball, he sprinted to be in position in case there was a rebound and then scored. Great hustle/effort play.
