He clearly wants out, plus before today Barca was ready to throw the everything and the kitchen sink to get Suarez. 25 million quid would be nice to have plus the 30 Chelsea paid for Cesc.

Was reading on Arseblog that Wenger denies interest in Balotelli. Could be a ploy, Wenger did initially deny interest in Draxler last year. If it is true, I wonder which forward he has his eye on.

Balotelli isn't happening. I have my money on Aurier + Sanchez before the first game.

Balotelli is either staying in Milan or going to Chelsea. You're right with Sanchez being a safer pick.

What? Why would Chelsea buy Balotelli when they have just bought Costa and still have Torres, Lukaku, Ba and Eto'o? How's Sanchez a safer pick, buying him doesn't mean we don't need a striker. We could play him at CF but he's a right winger by nature. Aurier plus Sanchez is not enough. Although I would LOVE Sanchez here, buying ONLY him and Aurier will not win us a Champions League or a Premier League title.

Oh, forgot about Costa. Torres will probably get sold though after being a World Cup no show and just not being that good lately.

And again, Balotelli is the better player but Sanchez is more of a sure thing to me, he'd probably play more consistently.

they play different roles though. I think if we can get Alexis, that is a no brainer, but it doesn't solve our needs upfront. I just hope they exhaust all other options before trying for Remy. Not that he is bad, but I don't think he is the answer either.

So, the talk around us landing Schneiderlin is picking up more and more, with L'Equipe saying it's "very close".

Personally, I'd be ecstatic if we actually signed a defensive midfielder.

Who would buy Suarez with a 4 month ban? I can see if he was dirt cheap, but wouldn't it make more sense for Liverpool to hold him till winter, just don't play him in CL games.

Even with the 4-month ban, it's going to take a gargantuan fee to pry him away from Liverpool. He is on a huge 4 1/2 year contract that's not even finished with year 1. They told Real Madrid and Arsenal to **** off last summer when he wasn't even tied down yet. They'll tell the same to Barca this summer unless they want to pay big. Barca can play all the tap-up games they want. Liverpool isn't budging, and despite all the insanity or rumors surrounding him, he will still give 100% every time he's on the pitch no matter what team he's playing in. And 100% Suarez is probably the 3rd best player in the world right now. That's why he's worth every penny.

Yeah but what good is he if keeps getting suspended? I don't think anyone can doubt his talents, but he is a liability. If he tackles someone wrong, or flips the bird, he will be disciplined way worse than anyone else. What about the next time he is involved in controversy? 6 month ban? 1 year ban? How is that a worthy investment to any club?
