The Benny Hill theme would have been more than appropriate to post as background to that defending. You'd say drop them all to the bench, but with no depth you can't right now. If Ospina is healthy Wojech is in deep **** in the new year. Utterly embarrassing.

Also no Giroud or Welbeck killed us. Sanchez was all alone up top and is much better out on the wings or in the 10 hole linking the midfield with the attack. Also no excuse for it to take Theo 20 minutes to even touch the damn ball too.

And 2015 starts with a bad defensive performance....That was embarrassing and I agree. I think Szezc should be looking over his shoulder. It's especially disheartening because we lost to a team we needed to beat. I really hope Wenger addresses our issues in the window because we're not going to qualify at this rate if we keep dropping points and playing poorly. Heck, Spurs have jumped ahead of us although bad lasagna should fix them

We definitely need Ozil, Ramsey, Giroud, Welbeck, back

Yesterday brought back some very bad memories involving keeping howlers. Although in both situations, better play from the defenders could've prevented it. Why Kos just tried to step in front of Mane instead of chasing down the ball is a mystery. Why one of two defenders couldn't just put their foot through it while the ball stared at them and their keeper is a mystery.

Even if we get our attacking threat back, we're still hilariously poor at the back. Yesterday was our first choice defense in this squad. Let that sink in.

Also, it looks like Podolski is off to Inter on loan.

Yeah he is. And with Sanogo leaving, we better have a plan this window. Loved Podolski and thought he was a Gooner through and through, but he just doesn't have the work rate needed. You gotta Defend out there and not just flail at the attack. Wish him nothing but the best however. I'd rather we waited till the summer to move him on.

Well, we at least advanced in the FA Cup. Alexis continues to prove what a fantastic signing he was, and it was nice to see Theo get 75 minutes of play. Now we need to start finding some consistency in the league.

Well rumors going around about us being in for Loris Karius who came out of the City academy, but now is at Mainz. He's out of contract this summer so he'd be a nice addition if Wojech can't get it together. He's had plenty of chances to improve his decision making, yet just can't improve in that department. Using the "he's young" excuse falls on deaf ears for me with De Gea and Courtois being younger, yet already more mature between the posts. Those guys never make a step without a purpose in their box and we have a guy who still can't help but resist charging out of his box.

Loic Perrin would be a nice pick up too. £7-8 million pounds for a guy who has been really underrated at CB in Ligue 1 and probably should have been at the World Cup this past summer instead of Mangala for France. I'd still hope we fight for Hummels if he's available in the window.

Ugh. I had 4th round, and then I saw "5th round draw" somewhere, so to not seem like an idiot I came back and edited it.

                    Damn.

Sanogo is off to Crystal Palace on loan. I wonder if we'll sign any... oh right injuries are our signings, when are we signing Ozil again?

I actually think we'll sign a defender, but I don't expect it to be anything other than some cover for our current first choice defenders. Heck, maybe even a loan?

I have doubts that even this Summer we'll sign a DM, though. I actually don't think Arsene ever will.

I bet he will slot Coquelin in at DM and call it a day.

That, or Bielik quickly works his way into the team if that move goes through.

Arteta and Debuchy are both out for 3 Months. We really have to spend now. Gotta have a CB since Chambers will be full time at RB now.

Oh and seriously **** Stoke. Didn't know body checks were now legal in football.
