If Cazorla is on the field he needs to be taking penalties, period.

However, three points from a team who has been hard to score on is fine with me. Although our defense seemed far too damn shaky. I'd love a clean sheet.

Per AW, he was supposed to take PK. Not sure what happened as to why Alexis took it but...?

Has Iwobi finally taken Ox's place?

I believe so. I'd will still have chances to contribute, but I could see him leaving in the Summer if he can't step up.

What's interesting is if Arsene is just waiting to give Lucas time before starting him up front, does Walcott or Iwobi drop to the bench?

            No question IMO.

Kid is phenomenal. Love that he isn't scared to shoot. He really makes stuff happen out there. Bright future.

Of course our manager may disagree as he continues to sit Giroud and Xhaka; but I suppose that's a different story...

I am really hoping this starting lineup isn't our permanent one, because I still don't think Alexis up top is our best option. At least this week was an improvement in that the other players around Alexis actually ran ahead of him on the pitch when he came back to get the ball, which I'm sure is something they worked on in training. But if teams aren't going to let us counter attack the way Hull did, I believe we will continue to get frustrated offensively until Wenger subs in Giroud or Perez and moves Alexis to the wing. You know, what happened in the PSG match.

Also, Walcott should get a lot of credit for the effort he has been showing. He is running up and down the pitch, contributing to both defense and attack, and it has been a joy to watch. Whether he keeps up this level of effort is another question entirely, since judging from the past we have all too often seen Walcott lose possession of the ball and then just stand there, waiting for his defenders to win the ball back. I hope he has changed his ways, though, and this is the new Walcott we get going forward.

Great points mate. Completely agree. Gotta get Sanchez on the left. Problem is, that likely leaves Iwobi out--who has been outstanding.

It's a good problem to have, but needs to be sorted out. Quickly.

watched the EFL game against N'ham Forest here at work. I'll take that. Extremely pleased with Perez. Youngsters played well, albeit "lesser" competition, still played well and controlled the match.

Arsenal fans showed real class applauding Bendtner when he went off, even sung his name for a bit.

I need to hear Arsene's mental gymnastics on why Coquelin is starting over Xhaka now. It should be classically hilarious.

I want to see Lucas up front on Saturday. Doubt it will happen, but give him a go.

I'd be pretty ok with Xhaka starting this weekend as well

Sure, there's a chance he'll be sent off, but there's also a chance his passing slices up those defenders that haven't been doing the best defending as of late.

But he's totally going to at least get a yellow if he starts...I bet he won't start.

Exactly. Regardless, both he and Coquelin are card machines. I'd rather a passing threat so Santi has space to work his magic

They are pretty different players though. Coquelin, at least against us, got whistled (and carded) a lot because your team regularly gets caught out of position in the midfield. Most of the time it seemed like he didn't have any other choice.

Xhaka on the other hand is simply an aggressive player. He was quite often compared to Jermain Jones by Bundesliga fans. He's probably the better player, but going against a team that you guys consistently struggle against, where all the Arsenal players/fans/management will be on high nerves, might not be the best choice for a player who is prone to the irrational.

Coquelin actually seems to do a reasonable job in big games of keeping everyone's heads out of the clouds.
