Xhaka on the other hand is simply an aggressive player. He was quite often compared to Jermain Jones by Bundesliga fans. He's probably the better player, but going against a team that you guys consistently struggle against, where all the Arsenal players/fans/management will be on high nerves, might not be the best choice for a player who is prone to the irrational.

Coquelin actually seems to do a reasonable job in big games of keeping everyone's heads out of the clouds.
I think that's why I'd actually prefer Xhaka. He's not going to fall in line and feel the same as everyone is feeling. He plays with far less fear and nerves—it costs him in terms of stupid tackles, but his attitude is something we've been missing for years.

The same goes for Lucas. He's hungry, and not afraid to get in someone's face. Neither of those two would be mentally affected too much by Chelsea, just due to not being around for previous failures. That's why I'd love to see them both play.

Maybe he not showing something in training?

Wenger normally doesn't dig that deep into the wallet (at all) and then leave that player on the bench.

Wenger keeps saying he believes in midfield pairs, and that Coq and Cazorla play well together as a pair. So I think he believes Cazorla is the best CM on the team, and he plays Coq along side him because his defensive skills balance out Cazorla's attacking prowess. If Cazorla is the best CM on the team and is thus the starter, then even if Wenger believes Xhaka is better than Coq, Coq will get the start. It's a hierarchy based on pairs, not on pure ability. I happen to disagree with Wenger, and I think Cazorla and Xhaka would be the team's best midfield duo.

Where does Ramsey fit in when he's healthy? Cazorla is playing well so I don't think Ramsay is a sure bet to be an automatic starter. Even Theo Walcott has upped his game this season putting in a lot of effort on offense and defensively.

Depending on the opposition, I could see Arsene using Ramsey and Xhaka together in midfield. Xhaka naturally stays back a bit, and Ramsey lives to get forward.

With Ramsey out we've actually lost out on having a midfielder going up into the box now and then.

                              WTH?

Somebody replaced Walcott with some new guy with the same name who is actually working hard and dominating the entire right side of the pitch.

Before the season Wenger did say we would see a different Walcott this season. He was right hopefully he can stay healthy this season.
