Mustafi and Koscielny didn't give an inch to Costa. Loved it.
Probably my most enjoyable experience since being an Arsenal fan (since '14 season). That, or the 3-0 thumping of United last year. I can't stand Chelsea though, so...

It shows what having great depth can do. Because having multiple options leads to competition, and I'll bet Walcott realized that this was the way he needed to play if he wanted a spot in the starting 11. Whatever the reason for his increased effort is, I hope he keeps it up.Comment

Not trying to take anything away from the win because you were really on top form but we were awful yesterday, especially our defence. Cahill gifted you the first, we stood off on the second and Ozil's was one that it's better if you mi**** it because if he connected properly Courtois would've saved it.
Again, not making excuses but we were terrible so don't get carried away!Comment

Eh.
Your defense helped our attack, but our defense played incredibly well. By far the best the Kostafi partnership has looked.
Not to mention Alexis looked more comfortable up front, something no poor defense has made him do as of yet. Also, Iwobi again showed incredible skill and promise.
Chelsea were not playing on the same level at all, but it was even more evident due to the incredibly high level our whole squad was on yesterday.
Conte will fix the defense with time, but that didn't stop us from exploiting the hell out of it yesterday. Now we just have to keep playing well. We should take all 12 points from our next 4 league games, no excuses.Comment

Wait until Alexis faces a more competent CB pairing before you pass judgement. Costa was also too isolated to be effective but Mustafi and Kosc did do well. I'm basing this all off MOTD highlights so I don't know how things panned out the whole game.
We hit ye at the wrong time and likewise ye hit us at a good time. It'll be interesting to see how the return game pans out later in the season.Comment
