Re: ***The Official Arsenal Gunners" Thread***
I think in general our Spurs friend here is just trying a little too hard. Ever since he arrived here it's like his first day in prison—trying a bit too much to impress.
We get it, you're "feisty" or whatever. Just settle down and be more laid back like everyone else.Comment

If you look over, I've actually only replied feisty when some of you guys reply in a "certain tone" to me. My original posts weren't really "feisty" at all. But sure, blame the new guy if it makes your day.Comment

Is it the font that you infer the tone of a written statement from? Or is it just in your own feeling of a perceived tone?Support Local Sports

Great example! This could be considered condescending, but in reality, it's meant as a joke because inferring someone you don't know's tone on the internet will almost always lead to negative interactions.Support Local Sports

Re: ***The Official Arsenal Gunners" Thread***
I think "Enjoy your second-place trophy." should give you hint enough.
It was a response to me predicting Wenger contract extension after the FA cup win with a fun picture. So don't go and tell me I'm the one who started it, I just respond feisty when someone does it first. I don't mind it, though. It's all good fun in my book. Gunners fans aren't used to taking any sort of crap from Spurs fans without rubbing league standings in our face, though. So until you get used to it, I understand the low-blows. :PLast edited by ZeroTheHero; 06-03-2017, 02:30 PM.Comment

Re: ***The Official Arsenal Gunners" Thread***
You made an obvious attempt to poke fun at Arsenal by posting a stupid image of Wenger in the Arsenal thread. The response was of the equal tone that you used—it's as simple as that.
I'd say as a general tip, expect to have fire fought with fire you jump into the club specific threads and offer no actual commentary, thoughts, or insight. Post a stupid picture? Get a stupid response.
If I went into the Chelsea thread and posted a picture of Arsenal lifting the FA Cup, I wouldn't expect them to say "oh man, you got us, nice post."
By "feisty" (which was a term someone else first used) I just mean that you're too often on the offensive and looking for the zinger. Just...be more chill.

First you say I'm offensive, then you say I need thicker skin? Contradiction is your game?

Also, the last time I actually had some comments, one of you guys were fixated on unimportant details and started discussing something entirely different, so it's not like you want any "thoughts" or "insight" in the first place.

I don't have a problem with him, he just argues for the sake of arguing, so just don't feed himComment

As fun as watching all the flailing is, this the Arsenal thread, not the "discuss the proper etiquette of fans posting in other teams threads" so let's do this crazy thing and discuss Arsenal!
The Mbappe bid reeks the same as the Suarez bid. Just meant to show we tried.Support Local Sports

Re: ***The Official Arsenal Gunners" Thread***
the bid doesn't bother me, its the fact that they are now claiming they didn't put one in.
Then wenger goes out to the media and talks about how alexis and ozil are going to play out their contracts, but it sounds more like he is indirectly trying to make fans think they will sign extensions.
Just feels like its going to be another summer of the same excuse that no strikers are available.Comment

I just don't believe we live in a world in which Arsenal will pay what it would require to sign Mbappe. It would be wonderful, but still seems insanely unlikely.
As for Ozil and Alexis, I think Alexis leaves due to him telling the club he wants to leave. I could see Ozil staying, but it seems inevitable Alexis leaves.Comment
