I’ll always remember the day he signed. Where I was, how I explained to my girlfriend who is now my wife how big of a deal it is, and how incredibly excited I was. Soon she’ll have to hear about how big of a deal it is that his time at Arsenal is finally ending.

I’ll also remember the goals and assists—especially the first assist. That great blue and yellow kit, that touch to bring the long ball down, then the pass. Perfection.

Shame Matt Macey never did put it all together, good luck to him at Hibs.

Lots of rotation, which is not surprising. I continuously feel that Pepe is basically playing to stay or show he should go in the Summer.

We still owe £20M/summer for the next 2 (or 3?) years right?

          That sucks.

Just seconds before kick off, the announcers said that Gabriel Martinelli was on the ground in tears. Injured in the warmup.

The club have said it was a rolled ankle and he's been removed as a precaution. If it's just a rolled ankle, it may not be terrible...

Also, no Balogun in the squad—so that's it for him, I guess.

Martinelli is wearing a protective boot and sitting in the stands having a snack—doesn’t seem too serious, but I’m sure he’ll miss a few matches.

Really liking Pablo Mari's game man and I can't see him being dropped now that the form he is in and Gabriel going to have to work a little harder to get that spot back. One of my favorite moments with him was around the 27 minuted and they were being pressed at the back. David Luiz is signaling for him to pass it back to the Leno which he ignores and he dribbles out of the press to get a forward pass that starts a break that leads to Nelson to fudging with an extra touch in the box.

I know it’s unlikely, but the club realizing that Willian is not working out and trying to move him on this Summer would be...amazing.

I think he will improve (hopefully) once the weather gets a bit warmer in the UK for some reason I feel like this was sometimes the case for Willian when he was at Chelsea.

It was great to see Auba get back on the score sheet. Also a lovely play by Lacazette to set up ESRs goal.

Auba-Lacazette-Saka with ESR at 10 is the team I’d be setting up.

Pablo Mari has been playing well in the absence of Gabriel.

He seems like a great signing, especially considering the price. Proper depth on the left, relies on positioning instead of recovery speed, and is a unit. I love, love, love seeing tall defenders in our side (I really wanted Saliba + Mari/Gabriel, as then both are at least 6'4).

Two bits of great news—Rob Holding has signed a new long-term contract, and we’re looking to sign a new backup keeper this month, even if loan for now so we can send Runarsson on loan.

Based on our repeated efforts to get Raya from Brentford in the Summer I’m sure he’s the top target.
