I love both deals. Lokonga has already shown he has potential, and I'm glad he's getting minutes over someone like Elneny. Ødegaard is a great deal. There's no way I thought we'd get him on a permanent, so I'm elated at that.

I love his ability with the ball, but he's so suspect defensively. Not just in the air, but also covering space. I agree, we did not need another CB, but Arteta clearly wanted to replace the ball playing ability of Luiz.

Then again if he does turn out to be good, and I saw people who rated him more than Henderson, then that's a moot point.
For the record, Arsenal fans are making the HG point because internally, several PL clubs have been, also. There's apparently a fear that further HG restrictions could come into play, although many also think it's just paranoia.

We already have a crap #3 keeper, and I can not stress this enough (no journalist who doesn't cover Arsenal for a living seems to understand this)—Leno is leaving. He doesn't want to stay, he doesn't want to even talk about a new deal. They're bringing in Ramsdale for the #1 spot, if not now, soon. Will it work? Who knows, but they didn't just spend that on a backup keeper who happens to be HG. He'll most likely retain most of his value, also, so that's a bonus that the club have been awful at keeping in mind.

To me, for once, Arsenal's transfer window makes sense for the most part. Outgoings are now desperately needed, but if Arsenal did what they've done in the past they'd be slated for spending big wages on players who will not retain value or are not hungry enough. They do what they've done and some (not saying all) people think they're not being ambitious enough.

For once, they're looking at more than this upcoming season, and as a supporter that's highly refreshing.

Ramsdale is official. I love that he's a gooner and clearly loves the club.

I’ll be honest, Ødegard is someone I see being very average in the PL. I remember last year he had a few good moments but he disappeared for a lot of games considering how much he’s talked about.

He could be way better than I expect (like Mount is) but I don’t see him being anything other than an average MF.

White will be a consistent starter, not great but better than average but unfortunately for him that price tag will always haunt him. English tax and his young age did not help him.

Lokonga I think is going to be really good. He has shown potential like you said and he just seems like someone that will grow into the league.

Ramsdale, no clue. It’s so hard to judge keepers because of terrible defenders in front of him. The transfer makes sense for all the reasons you listed.

Is it just ST and Rb that are needed now? And you can’t move on those until others are sold.

I read Ramsdale’s interview. That man has confidence and swagger. I predict he’s going to be starting before Halloween.

Also, yes there many names that need to go in our squad, but no one is interested in our piles of ****.

The one that kills me is AMN. He’s getting terrible advice, as he could easily be the starting RB if he wanted to.

Honestly, how many full Arsenal matches did you watch where he played?

Because I’d say he’s already shown he’ll be above average. I’m not saying he’s prime Ozil, but our attack suffered with him absent. It was poor all around, but he made a considerable difference, more so than an average player in his position would.

I actually watch a lot of Arsenal. My best friend is an Arsenal fan so we watch them often. There is a big difference when he plays but I think that says more about your other options than him.

Like I said, I could easily be proven wrong but he’s a player that I do not mind Arsenal signing. If you signed Maddison, I would have been more concerned.

Lots of smoke surrounding Ben White contracting COVID.

Kola is joining Ozil in Turkey.

And he’s out with ‘illness’ so basically confirmed. Good thing there’s an international break on the horizon. Not.

I desperately wanted Arteta to be the guy.

But he is clearly not the guy. I hate it. I really hate it—but I’ve had enough of this project.

League cup doesn’t mean a damn this week if we have a good performance. We’re going to lose the first three matches then go into an international break.

If a change would happen, that’s the time, but this leadership has shown previously how they’re never prepared for a managerial search.

No joke, this is an actual prediction.

AMN will start at RB on Saturday, because it's clear there's no clue or plan on who is the best right back out of the four we have available, or how to utilize them.

Morning bright side note—Sambi, for his age, looks solid. Glad he’s gotten minutes and even though I know we won’t, I’d love to see him play with Partey.
