Him and Mertersacker were awesome at the back.

Little support from their fullbacks (Monreal now and then) and midfield due to shape and tactics, but were the perfect pairing. Quick and crazy + slow and calm.

If there's something I've enjoyed seeing this past season, and even into last, it's that we no longer leave our center backs on their own to defend, constantly exposing them and forcing them into errors.

Just came back into this thread for the first time in months so my pages were back a bit. I’m happy my opinion of Odegaard still has you wound up enough to keep posting about him. [emoji3]

He has improved since we last talked. Not nearly as good as you’re making him out to be, but he’s better than he was before for sure.
