I think we are at the point where we shouldn't be losing to Panama and Jamaica and it's unacceptable. Maybe I expect too much out of the team?

      Soccer: FC Dallas, Fleetwood Town
      NCAA: SMU, UTA
      NFL: Dallas Cowboys

Top 10 in the world? Well, in a world where Michael Bradley is an elite midfielder, maybe. But in this one he plays for Toronto FC, and is not.

Yep, same boat I'm in. There was enough talent in 2002 to continuously beat the smaller nations. Now there isn't? This wasn't a C team we took like we did under Bob B a couple of times. No reason we shouldn't have won this GC.

Overreactions. We won the Gold Cup and the Hex under JK. Survived a tough group at the World Cup. Actually started winning a friendly here and there in Europe against top nations (something that literally never happened before). One bad tournament where really we were unlucky to lose in the semi finals and now it's time to tear it all down. Careful what you all wish for.

They did look good in a few friendlies but after all that's all they were. Still they looked pretty good in doing it. I don't think they need to tear the team down or get rid of the coach but there needs to be some improvement come the next WC. Telling the world you have no chance in a tournament is a loser's mentality.

What JK should of done is keep roster he had for netherlands and germany and kept that momentum going. (Ex. Morris) Instead of bringing in these useless players (ex. Wondo). Also stop changing lineups so much during cup, especially back line. Thats what friendlies are for. We have gotten better overall, just still inconsistent. He needs to go young and talent, and build and develop. Stop bringing proven useless players. Veteran on each level, rest young talent. Just keep Howard, Bradley, and Dempsey with young guns. Ex. Morris, zardes, yedlin, johnson, mix, Johanson, brooks, besler......

I wanted to see Morris too, but he was unavailable. I think he had a knee procedure done.

The other thing to consider is JK's specialty is in developing talent, and so I think the US is taking a long term approach to see whether the next generation of stars will really propel the US into contenders. Guys like Zelalem who helped the U20 side make the quarterfinals of their WC.

So he gets through the next WC tourney. The loss against Jamaica looks so much worse once you consider how Mexico took them apart without their best forward.

OK, so say the US has a poor showing against Mexico and they can him (which I don't believe would actually happen even if they lose in convincing fashion).

Who do you bring in? Caleb Porter? Jason Kreis? Sigi Schmid? Remember, there would only be a month to go until the first World Cup qualifiers.

My vote would be for Thomas Rongen - just for entertainment value alone.

I can't imagine Klinsmann going anywhere before the 2018 World Cup.

Though I don't have the best track record with things happening to teams I root for.

So, Howard and Beasley are back. Guzan still the starter, though. I wonder if Howard thought he would just walk back into the starting XI.
