Yeah exactly. This is how Uruguay has played their entire history, you know ahead of time what you’re getting. They ain’t Brazil, it’s a dogfight from the first whistle.

Ref was atrocious but we had like 4 shots on target in a must-win knockout game.

Good lord Pepi must have compromising photos of Gregg.

      Re: Official USMNT/USWNT Thread

I've been a soccer fan for 30 years and quite honestly it's getting really hard to justify it.

All these games unfold exactly the same. No transparency on how much added time is given so it's always nonsensical and almost always too much. Why isn't there an official count happening and why aren't we told about it? Why doesn't the clock just....stop on stoppages? Corrupt garbage referees like this complete ****ing dork in the US game. Rulings that never make sense nor are they ever explained during the game or ever even after replays. Late goals by major teams that were on the ropes all game then they end up skating and then it's always some bull**** like "oh you knew it was in em innit" "it always had to be him" or whatever dumb platitude bull****. It's always just like "ya they had their chances and they can't convert.

Every tournament I'm left wondering why I even watch. Seen one game, seen em all at this point. It's the same in basketball too and why I barely watch that pile of **** anymore. Every game it's always a discussion about fouls, blocks, charges, flops, no-calls, and so on. It's all quite tiresome.

Forgot to mention expanded tournaments. There's no reason why some of these teams should have advanced in Euros or should be playing in the tournament at all. It's gonna be even worse with the World Cup. It's like watching Ohio State vs Whogivesa**** U.

I thought we looked decent most of the match, just couldn’t find the goal. Uruguay always has an incredible DM that is everywhere making tackles. I was really hoping Liverpool would get Ugarte. He was so good last night.

I didn’t think Pepi was bad at all. His linkup play was surprisingly good. Pulisic was stinky though. We needed an 8/10 from him, especially when Balogun went down but didn’t get it

You could still Ugarte. Enrique doesn’t play him and his agent said they want out of PSG

              Re: Official USMNT/USWNT Thread

Something has to change... not just the manager.

I'm not sold on McKennie's performance for the nt... he and Robinson waste a lot of chances with bad touches/passes.

Robinson is really the only option at LB.

Mckennie can be dynamic for Juve... could he be RB for the US? We need more attacking presence, and he is the only MF I would consider replacing.

I'd like to see Weah in a central role, or at least drifting inside more... just to see... he has good chemistry with the others... but if he's only good for shuttling up and down the channel, by necessity or by managerial design... then why not just make him the RMF... maybe get Reyna and/or CP more central...

Balogun had a rather good tournament, despite some missed chances.

Maybe play 2 up front... just to see... anything to spark a change at this point... bc this team has not progressed one bit.

GB's strategy keeps the ball in the feet of players with questionable touches too often. I'd even prefer a return to a more traditional counter attacking style. What could Mourinho do with these guys? 🤷🏻 it's the kind of squad he could work with...I wonder if he's enjoying Turkey?

He's enjoying the 11.4M USD salary that Fenerbahçe is paying him, I imagine.

Can we even trust the organization to make a good hire?

The players seem to "like" GB...which may be part of the problem; and ESPN write-up did allude to the team being too "comfortable". I remember that criticism several years ago when Dempsey was still playing.

There's some groundswell thing to try and get Klopp.

Yeah, ok bro. Surely that'll happen, lol.

Berhalter admitted he told the team when Bolivia equalized.

Why the f would you tell the team that? Just go out and try to win the game in front of you.

We have been reduced to hoping Bolivia would get a result against Panama, which was never going to happen.

It was a mistake to rehire him, and now it’s time to fix that mistake.

reminds me of the end of the NHL regular season this year with Torts, except the exact opposite

That's inexcusable... but not as inexcusable as rehiring that wimp... which isn't as inexcusable as keeping him after this embarrassment.

And that's what this is, from top to bottom... an embarrassment.

He cannot be allowed to embarrass us in 26. But I have zero confidence in this organization.

Also, numbers suggest Mckennie was actually awful this tournament. 50% pass completion in the final third... even worse on the defensive end.

He’s wildly telling his team the score of another game as they’re organizing to defend a set piece that they concede a goal on. You can’t make this kind of **** up.

The guy who retained him (Matt Crocker) has to suck it up and admit he made a mistake and get rid.
