We are all crushed here man. 2 minutes away from history and our happiness and excitement got vanished. Panama unfortunately has a history that they always concede the tie or the winning goal in the last minutes of the game. But tonight we were like no way. Ain't going to happen tonight.

I know that probably in a week or so this feeling will be over but this date will be forever marked. Nevertheless, I wish USA the best of luck in the World Cup and hope they can reach far.

Johannsson with two more goals today, plus an assist. With Jozy on the bench yesterday for Poyet's debut, coupled with Sunderland's complete lack of service to their forwards...I truly would not be shocked to see Aron starting ahead of Jozy next summer. Unless Jozy can start getting PT, plus service, plus goals (all three are unlikely), and AJ continues this form, I don't know how JK can start Jozy ahead of AJ.

All I hope is that if IceBacon keeps tearing up the Eredivisie and has a breakout WC, that he doesn't feel it necessary to transfer to somewhere that won't fit. Would love to see him possibly stay in the Netherlands, possibly a move to PSV or Ajax.

I heard Gooch going to QPR, and Jurgen saying that Gooch will be on the WC roster. I don't know if I could see that happening.

Did anyone watch the friendly yesterday? Mostly boring game. Probably should have finished one of those chances towards the end. The team looked lively once the young guns came in with fresh legs. Johannsson looked good again in his short time on the pitch.

I watched a majority of it. I thought Johannsson was going to bury his chance. I'd really like to see him starting more often. Seems like whenever he comes off the bench he provides a spark.

I watched it. Snooze fest. Outside of Tim, nobody looked like they even wanted to be there.

I hope JK starts the younger players today. They did look like they were up for the Scotland match when they were subbed on.

So is there a good reason that there is not a goal line camera in all FIFA sanctioned matches?

No idea, but that most certainly was a goal.

Seems like such an avoidable problem.

No, there isn't a good reason. Just the stubbornness of the grumpy old men that run FIFA to ever change their "beloved game."

I've kind of raised this point before, but I think one thing that gets overlooked is the money aspect of making sure that the same technology is available for all FIFA-sanctioned matches. If you're going to require it for a friendly between US-Austria, you have to require it for a freindly between St. Kitts-Nevis and Aruba. Are either of those federations in the position to install that equipment? Is FIFA in a position to provide this equipment to any federation that cannot afford it?

I agree FIFA is stubborn as hell, but that isn't the only factor at play here.
