    Re: The Beautiful Game Thread

Just avoid the tabloids. When you see a rumor, look at the rest of their articles. If they're garbage, so is the transfer story you just read.

Some red flags include The Sun, The Mirror, and of course, Bleacher Report.

The Guardian is pretty good when it comes to EPL stuff, but even then it's always better to take a wait and see approach. Nothing is fully certain until the clubs confirm. 90% of what you see during this time is straight bull****.

The only real way to get the absolute truth is to follow the teams, which would be a pain.

I'd just like to brag that I'm going to Denmark to watch Viborg take on Randers FC live, in Viborg's first Superliga game since 2005.

Abby Wambach surpasses Mia Hamm as all time goal scorer for the USWNT

Check that, is also now the all time leader for all of Women Soccer

                nice article on Balotelli/Italy

Balotelli has always been a keen shooter. The more outstanding feature of his performance against Mexico was his varied positioning and movement, which demonstrated a maturity and intelligence in his play. One of the simplest but most dangerous qualities a lone striker can boast is the ability to move either way -- to receive short passes into feet between the lines, and also to spin in behind, to collect balls sent over the top. It sounds simple, but not many centre-forwards are outstanding at both aspects.

Sky Sports and The Guardian are my go-to's but I find The Sun and The Mirror fun to read for transfer news as well. They're the entertaining ones, not the ones I look at for actual news.

I'm sure he's relishing the prospect, after Alexis' complete failure in Subtle Diving 101.

I hate seeing those kinds of theatrical flops especially when the ref is foolish enough to call a free kick o_O And then you see the player sprint down the field with a smirk and no injury

Brazilian amateur player attacks referee, ref stabs him to death, ref's head gets put on a stick.

I've seen the pictures and its.....yeah.
