He has been quoted as saying that he'd be a boxer if he wasn't a footballer. Not sure if he was actually involved in organised boxing, whatever level that may be.

I don't know if Giroud will really ever be that good though, the man is a first class striker for sure, but I think 'beastly' means in terms of world class, and I think Giroud won't quite ever reach that level. A very good player in his own right though.
