Steve Nash and the Suns owner have purchased RCD Mallorca.

Steve Nash is not resting in his retirement. The two-time NBA MVP joined an ownership group, Liga ACQ Legacy Partners, along with Suns owner Robert Sarver and others that recently acquired the Spanish professional soccer club RCD Mallorca. Mallorca currently plays in the secon

Sounds like he might be going back to Chelsea to be an assistant.

I hope he does play with Montreal again. Would relish the chance to see him in Houston (he didn't come here this year).

Definitely surprised that Modric was chosen over James. Juve was likely to get 1 player. Thought for sure Bayern would have 2 or 3 with Neuer and Boateng/Alaba. Thiago Silva is kind of a surprise too.

                    Top 10 for each position

Boateng wasn't even a top 10 defender. David Luiz, Mascherano, and Jordi Alba all finished above him.

A list like that really shows you how the top players are all concentrated at 4-5 gigantic clubs. With non-Champions making the Champions League, there is almost no chance that multiple of those clubs won't be in the final 4 of the Champions League. It honestly makes it a bit boring - it's like the NBA where you know only about 3 teams can realistically win it most years.

Ales deserves to be there, he was unquestionably the best right back in the world last season.

Ramos however is beyond comedy, he's not even the best CB in his own team.

Alba should probably be in for Marcelo, and I know Pogba had a good season, but he didn't have a "top 3 midfielder in the world" good season. Similar situation to Ramos, Pogba isnt even the best midfielder on his team. Should probably be Busquets or Marchisio instead of Pogba.

Can't really argue the forwards or GK.

Silva is probably fine, he's fantastic. Although you could replace Silva and Ramos with Boateng and Pique and it would be pretty hard to argue. Boateng not being there is a crime, and shows that it's basically just a popularity contest.

Alves had a crazy high assist number (7+ I think). Boateng not even in the top 10 is madness, same for at least 1 of the Juve central defenders. Pogba and Modric are fantastic players but I would've rather seen Vidal or Marchisio. I thought Marchisio had the best year for any of the Juve mids but it was very unlikely for him to win, while Vidal also won with Chile this summer and moved to Bayern. Silva's great but I thought Pique and Boateng were a little better. Da Gea and Buffon might've deserved the spot a little more based on this year over Neuer but I don't think either one of them is better than Neuer.

Imo Neuer is to goalkeepers what Messi and Cristiano are to field players. He's the best and it's not particularly close.

I wish I could remember who it was against (may have been group stages of the CL) but he recently had a diving palm save off a completed cross that was far post and behind him that I didn't think he would get to. It was insane.

Did Bayern play ManU in group stages? I think it was against them
