The league is just as much City's to lose as it is Liverpool's, if not more so.

If City win out, they clear 2nd place by 5 points at minimum.

Also, don't forget Chelsea' s record vs top teams. We may slip up against Palace, but the Chelsea/Liverpool game is just as important as the City game. Our team ALWAYS gets up for the big games.

José can and will spoil the party if given the chance, especially if it's Liverpool.

        This.

Getting tired of hearing it's Liverpool's to lose. If Man City wins out the title is theirs. We aren't quite there yet.

pretty much. Thrashing Spurs is nothing to write home about but I understand their excitement. They haven't had anything to cheer about in a while.

Thrashing Spurs isn't what is exciting. I feel most Liverpool fans expected as much. Almost everyone should have seen that coming from a mile away. Given our attack and their (poor) high line.

Being top of the table at the end of March? Yeah, that's worth being excited about.

It goes both ways. If Liverpool wins out, they can't be caught either. As a Reds fan, I don't give two $#!+$ about ManC.

It's not like those are the only two scenarios. If Liverpool lose to both Chelsea and City, and bottle a third result, they could drop completely out of the top 4.

Vtpacks point was that all this conjecture is silly.

Also, as a reds fan, you should absolutely give a **** about City. They could end your title hopes in your own stadium.

You probably should give two ****s about them. All they need to do is draw Liverpool. Liverpool are the ones that have to push for the win in that match.

Let's worry about the Hammers first before we start talking about City.

Sure. We could lose our last six abd fall out of all Euro competition again. Same thing can be said about the entire top 4. But we're not worried about who can keep from falling out, we're chasing a title.

Exactly right, Chelsea and ManC have to come to Anfield. I'd love to see them play for a draw against our form right now.

My point was, we're being chased for the first time in a long time. There is no time to be wasting on the negative crap. Win out and The title is back. The boys know it's there for the taking and I fully expect them to take it. If there is a soccer god, he's not letting another one slip from Steve G.

Of course conjecture is silly until 38 games are played but that's the point of message boards.

I just responded to the guy acting like Liverpool isn't going to have a say in deciding the end result.

                      Screw ManC, screw Chelsea.

The title is not there for the taking at all. Do you honestly see City bottling it? I don't. Your talking as if Liverpool has the easiest games ahead of them. I hope you guys destroy Chelsea though and we could come in third with Chelsea behind us. Oh how I would love this to happen.

His point is that Liverpool control their own destiny. They win out, they're champions. That is what is meant by "the title is theirs for the taking". Nothing more, nothing less. Liverpool wins out, they're champions.

I guess I don't under how "having control of you destiny" is not considered "there for the taking."

For Liverpool, if Liverpool takes care of their own business it does not matter what else happens. No one can catch them. It doesn't matter if ManC wins every game but Anfield, if Liverpool take care of themselves, the title is theirs.

No one said it would be easy. No one said it's guaranteed. But again, right now, I don't care what ManC and Chelsea do as long as Liverpool keeps doing what they've been doing; winning. And yes, playing ManC at Anfield is better than playing Liverpool at Anfield. Same goes for Chelsea.

Having control of your own destiny is not the same as there for the taking but okay, let's say it is. Manchester City also control their own destiny and they have an easier run in than liverpool. Sure they have to go to Anfield but I don't see them losing there. A draw seems most likely. I do not believe you guys will get 18/18 with two games being versus number 2 and 3, at home however. If you do get 18 points outof the last 6 games, then you deserve to be champions.
