Re: The 2013-14 EPL Discussion Thread
Sanogo would be hilarious to watch if he wasn't playing for my team. I believe he can become a good player but he is EXTREMELY raw. His presence made Giroud play better though because Giroud got more space from the defenders seeing they had to deal with Sanogo and Giroud.Comment

The statement by Yaya's agent is hilarious, yes I'm going to quit my job because my co-workers didn't celebrate my birthday. And this better not be about money especially since he's making 15 million a year!Mets/Giants/Knicks/Rangers/Manchester United/Notre Dame Football

I would be pretty surprised if this wasn't about money. If you really think about it, there isn't anywhere for him to go.Comment

Re: The 2013-14 EPL Discussion Thread
So this behavior is nothing new for Yaya, he's always been kind of a diva. Yaya has always wanted, in order:
1. To be the center of attention on and off the pitch
2. Monstrous wages
3. To be winning stuff
You will recognize these three things as everything he already has at City. He is the center of the team, 9th best paid soccer player on the planet, and they win things. So what teams would even be an upgrade to City?
Barca - there isn't a single cm on planet earth that would displace Busquets in Barca's system
RM - they have multiple young dudes who can do that job perfectly well who aren't 31 years old and on astronomical wages. Although to be fair, Perez is completely insane.
Bayern - nope.
PSG - possible, but if Ibra stays then Yaya wouldn't be the center of attention.
You have to keep in mind that Yaya's wages are insane, he's 31 years old, and he does not have the kind of body that will allow him to play at the top level into his late 30s. Obviously this is all conjecture and maybe he just wants to go collect fat paychecks somewhere, or maybe he missed Barcelona's bench.
It just wouldn't make a lot of sense for him to leave City right now. Not saying it can't happen, I just don't see why it would.Comment
