Re: The 2015-2016 EPL Discussion Thread
I think he deserved to be given a contract, did what was asked of him and that was to keep Swansea up and he did it rather successfully too. They're up around 11th now IIRC compared with being around relegation when he took over.
Also just because a manager was successful the first time, doesn't mean they'll do it again a second time.Comment

Re: The 2015-2016 EPL Discussion Thread
Flores and Watford are apparently mutually parting ways after the season. Took the job last June, lead them to 13th in the table, and he was the fifth manager in the span of a year.
Will be interesting to see if they can stay up another year after yet another change.Comment

What more could Flores have done? First job was to keep them safe which he did, and he guides them to the FA Cup semi's. The board's expectations are ridiculous.Comment

Re: The 2015-2016 EPL Discussion Thread
The rumors are that Flores has been planning an exit, which is why they have been on relegation form since Christmas. I don't think it's ridiculous expectations so much as good old fashioned "manager doesn't give a crap".
13th is great for a newly promoted team, but if you look at it on context with their early season form, and the fact that they really haven't had significant/season-altering injuries, they probably should have finished in the top-half somewhere. Also, if they lose they could finish as low as 16th I believe.
Even their FA cup run, which is obviously great, was just a string of 1 goal victories vs lower league teams.Comment
