Coutinho was selling, and Bellerin bought it.

I hope they tell him he's not going anywhere, and to get ready for Spurs.
21 years old, something like 3-4 years left on his contract. Shut up, go play, and get Everton back into Europe.

Re: The 2015-2016 EPL Discussion Thread
Kids these days with their silly ambition to go play at the most prestigious clubs in the game.
The reality is, players are unfairly held to a standard of loyalty that fell out of the game decades ago. This is a career for them, and it's one of the only ones I can think of where making a move up the ladder is met with the weird criticism that you "should have been happy where you were".
People always say stuff like "why would player leave X club just to sit on the bench". We'll maybe, just maybe, it's because that player didn't think they would? Professional athletes are monstrously competitive, most of the time, it's because they truly believe they can break into the first team at the club they are going to.
Also, Stones isn't in that same boat. He's not another Chelsea youngster that is going to spend 10 years on loan. He would be bought with the express purpose of leading the devensive line for Chelsea, most likely in the very near future.
So why would he NOT join Chelsea (or another top club)? More money, better location, still plenty of playing time, chance till win actual trophies, and training with some of the best players in the league.
Help Everton get back into Europe? Kreb, come on. You already know that isn't happening. Top 4 is United/City/Chelsea/Arsenal and that won't be changing for some time, as much as people would like it to. 5th and 6th is also likely not changing, Spuds and Pool are too good to be permanently overtaken by a club like Everton. The only way a team like Everton breaks into that top 6 on a regular basis is if they get new, rich owners.
That leads me to my last point in this long-winded rant; the big boys aren't always the bad guys. Too much blame gets placed on clubs like ours for stealing these young players, but the owners of these smaller clubs are usually complete dbags with little interest in moving the club upwards. Everton for example, ALWAYS sell their best players, and they do so at the very end up whatever transfer window. This is so they can pretend they don't have enough time to replace the player, and when the next window opens they can pretend they didn't just pocket that entire transfer fee for themselves by claiming the funds already were used for "debts".
This is the sad reality of the modern game guys, most of these people are crooks, and the players are just caught in the middle trying to kick a ball into a net.Last edited by Brahvocado; 08-25-2015, 03:09 PM.Comment

I hope that Jose finally realises that Ivanovic will get exposed by quick wingers and that is something Palace have in Zaha, Bolasie, Sako. I would then drop him, move Dave to RB and bring in Baba at LB. I'd like to see RLC get some game time this weekend as well.Comment

Re: The 2015-2016 EPL Discussion Thread
It was an unfortunate bad call. But hitting the post isn't the result of referee error, as opposed to Arsenal having a goal wrongly disallowed.
The fact is, a draw was probably the most fair result given the performance of both teams, but a player hitting the post is in no-way comparable to the ref blowing a call that takes away a goal. In one, a player shoots just too far wide when he should have scored, or the defender gets there just in time to deflect the ball off the post, etc. In the other, a player does score, but the ref messes up and the goal doesn't count. One is way worse than the other.
On a side note, if anyone here told me that Coutinho would be mixing it up like this in the EPL years ago when he was still playing in Inter Milan... I would be like
. Since last year, every time I see him it's fun to watch.
