Steve Bruce it is at Villa.

    I don't know what else I expected.

So how much longer is Moyes going to last?

It's interesting because he's clearly a good manager. He took Everton from perennial relegation battlers to consistently top 10 ( they only finished outside the top 10 twice in 11 seasons, after finishing between 17th and 13th for like 6 straight seasons before he arrived).

Given time with Sunderland, I'm sure he could do something similar.

Maybe they need to do like Newcastle and get relegated, let Moyes rebuild and get rid of all the deadweight.

I'm not nearly as high on Moyes as you are, but he can't be expected to win with a squad that dreadful. So I do hope he gets time to rebuild, whether they get relegated or not. But given the pressure from Sunderland fans and many in the media to have him fired, I doubt he'll get the chance.

I read somewhere earlier that Guus Hiddink is being lined up to replace de Boer.

Has Guus Hiddink ever started at a club in the offseason? Or does he always come in when someone gets sacked?

He should trademark the term "interim". I was thinking earlier he must be trying to set a Guinness Book of World Record for most countries managed in. Holland, Turkey, Spain, South Korea, England, Russia, Australia, etc.

I was under the impression Hiddink doesn't even really want to manage anymore, I'd be surprised if he takes the Inter job but I guess stranger things have happened.

Wonder if Inter will try to throw all available money at Simeone

The FA has announced Gareth Southgate as the new England manager on a four-year deal. He's expected to be sacked following a poor performance in the 2018 World Cup.

They'll need to wait a few more years to trick a manager with one of those.
