What a wild ride, still pretty shocked they sacked him though considering the WC starts this week.

A very important sacking indeed. He just signed a new contract with Spain a month ago, then goes behind their backs and signs a different contract without keeping his current employers in the loop for some sort of negotiation. Then for Madrid to go public with this just before the start of the WC, just shows how incredibly cocky and unlikable they are.

Both Madrid and Lopetegui clearly didn't have Spain's best interests in focus and the sacking was completely called for even though it still remains an issue for the Spain squad. I wish them moderately good luck.

I agree to an extent but you are giving the Spanish FA a little too much credit, they are not the good guys.

Players and coaches alike sign new contracts and leave shortly after on a pretty regular basis, a job like Madrid is a once in a lifetime opportunity.

Also, you are forgetting the part where the RFEF actually DID know about the contact with Madrid. There are a LOT of politics involved in Lopetegui’s sacking, the stuff about them finding out Lopetegui was leaving 15 minutes before Real announced it was basically a straight up lie, the RFEF is definitely not some innocent party here.

This couldn't have worked out better for Leipzig. It wouldn't shock me if Rangnick coached next year; who would want to join a club as a coach for just one season?

Apparently Jesse Marsch is still in for one year

Jesse Marsch has officially left NYRB, with Chris Armas named his replacement. I imagine Marsch will leave for his one year residency at RB Leipzig.

Luis Enrique is the new man in charge of the Spanish National Team.

EDIT: Jesse Marsch will be Ralf Rangnick's assistant at RB Leipzig, with Nagelsmann set to take over in 2019.

He's signed a two year deal. Marsch will probably get more duties than your typical assistant coach, with Rangnick still having to perform his Sporting Director job.

I'm going to miss Antonio's passion for the game on Premier League weekends.

Got to believe we'll hear his name again when the inevitable Mourinho firing rumours fly. It is his third year with the club which seems to be his expiry date.

This timeline is all off though so who knows.

He always wins the league in his second season and that didn’t happen either.

Conte has been sacked... it’s been fun and I feel bad for him. However, too many times he has clashed with the board and ran to complain to the media.
