Btw, saying he left is being nice, Spurs came straight out and said Poch and his staff were "relieved of their duties" in the press release.

Re: The Sack Race aka Official Management Carousel Thread
Mourinho comes in and immediately gets them back into easy Europa League contention and wins the FA Cup, eclipsing Poch's trophy haul within mere months of taking over. He then proceeds to clash with Levy at every step from then on out until leaving them worse off at the end of next season. Fin.Comment

Wow absolutely horrendous decision. 5th,3rd,2nd,3rd,league cup, champions League finals defo credentials worth a sacking???
And Mourinho of all people to replace him??
A man who has been an absolute poison in his last 2 jobs and left them in a far worse state than when he took over.A man who needs a king's ransom to operate and still moans that it's not enough!
Good luck getting another 391million..I think the world's gone mad...Comment

Re: The Sack Race aka Official Management Carousel Thread
Poch’s end at Spurs always felt similar to Klopp’s at Dortmund—eventually, a change would have to be made as he got all out of the players that he could—they need someone new, a new voice, new ideas, etc.
They’ve been a model of stability for years now, and they’re about to enter what will most likely be a very unstable situation for several years of their appointments are not correct.
As for Mourinho...yeah, that should be interesting with Levy, youth players, and an already disgruntled group of players regarding their contracts. They should make a similar move as to when they brought Poch in—bringing in Mourinho seems like a panic move with no regard for the future.Comment

Eh, no Wenger, and he’d only be talking about his past accomplishments, not those of the club he’s managing. Plus, those matches have been about on-field excitement and not silly press conference jabs.

So, if Mourinho does end up with the job, say goodbye to the last remaining top-flight English derby which lives up to the hype.

Triple post, but what I haven’t seen mentioned yet is where next for Poch? He’ll surely land somewhere by the Summer, and will be very highly sought after despite the recent form of Spurs.Comment

Re: The Sack Race aka Official Management Carousel Thread
For Poch now he should rest until the summer. The collapse in the league from January clearly looked to get to him and topped off by the champions league final, which, in the flow of the game you could say they deserved to win.
I think he’s most likely to end up at United, Real Madrid or even City, depending on how many trophies Pep wins this year. But I have no doubt he goes to a huge club.Comment

I think he’ll end up at United when they move on from Ole, provided it doesn’t take them too long.Comment
