Can someone explain to me why West Ham is moving stadiums?

It's obviously a big talking point, especially after their dream farewell with a 3-2 victory over Manchester United.

But WHY are they moving? It sounds like such a downgrade on everything but capacity. Even their food/drink stands are uncertain. It seems silly they're just ready to abandon a stadium that has over a century of history without even getting the rights to build a NEW stadium.

Olympic Stadium will feel rather.. empty. Or at least not as boastful.

52,000 season ticket holders for next season would strongly disagree.

      This.
They also want a bigger area to break other teams buses.

They are moving to the Olympic Stadium because it's an insane steal of a deal, and they have one of the better danbases in the league (bus vandalizing aside) that will have no problem filling it.

Also, renovating or building a new stadium in London is crazy expensive, like beyond bonkers.

It's definitely an upgrade, thus is the kind of thing that could see them become a CL team.

Bilić has them pointed in the right direction, that is for sure. Excited to see what they can do next season.

Yes, the season isn't over and I'm already looking forward to next season for multiple reasons.

I've only had the privilege of going to the Boleyn just once way back in November 1998 with my cousins. 2-1 victory over Spurs. Rio Ferdinand, John Hartson, Frank Lampard were playing. Trevor Sinclair scored a brace. The weekend before I was at Villa park watching Liverpool beat Villa 4-2. Hat trick for Robbie Fowler and a sending off for Stan Collymore.

If West Ham finish top four next season do they kinda have Carlos Tevez to thank for keeping them up a decade ago?

Nah, because they've been down (20th in '10-'11) since then.

What a hilarious saga that was though.

Because their current stadium is a dangerous place! Or did you not see Green Street Hooligans?
