If that dive by Ronaldo was worth a yellow, than Suarez should have like 20 straight reds in his career from diving alone lol. And Pepe should have been banned from foootball.

Will the shove be punished? (if it was any other player in any other country I wouldn't be asking) Apparently any ban would only count towards Super Cup games? Which if true is just hilarious.

That's fantastic. It'll take another fourteen years, but we'll see actual respect for officials in the game at some point.

For Super Cup matches or does it include La Liga? Cos' if it's like Modric's ban, then it's only for Super Cup matches.

Yesterday I read any ban would be Super Cup matches, but today I read this ban includes league games...still searching for clarification.

We all know the fine is what's really going to hurt him, though.

I'm catching up on the game now, and the announcer just stated he heard any suspension in the Super Cup games can roll over to League matches as well. Who knows.

I'm still trying to figure out how Suarez drew a penalty and Ronaldo got a yellow for a dive on the other end. That being said, that's what you get for taking your shirt off and picking up the first yellow!

Edit: Oh damn, that Asensio goal was insane! How long will he be satisfied with playing 10 or 15 minutes off the bench?

He gets pretty regular minutes though, and RM are well aware that he is their future. He was already starting games last season. He also seems to have a pretty good head on his shoulders, and his current competition is injured all the time.

Really don't see it becoming an issue, not with Asensio.

Yeah the spin he put on that shot was nasty. At first glance I thought Ter Stegen should have done better but when you see how much it curved in slo mo it makes you realize he no chance.

The depth that they've acquired is crazy. We haven't even seen guys like Teo, Vallejo, Ceballos, and Llorente play yet and they're all studs who led Spain to the U-21 Euro Final.

Crazy how fast the landscape can change. A few years back it was all about Barca and La Masia producing young talents, none of which haven't really lived up to the Golden Generation (which is a little harsh considering how good Barca's run was/is).

From what I've been reading about from Barca fans, the 2015 treble was basically the worst thing that's happened to them in recent years. It papered over all the cracks, and prompted Perez to change his policies and start snapping up all this young Spanish talent, focusing less on Galacticos and more on integrating youth and even found himself a seemingly long-term manager.

Meanwhile Barca's comically corrupt board have been allowed to operate with impunity, and appear to be digging deeper and deeper holes for the club to fall into. Lmao, 40m for Paulinho, there is absolutely no way there isn't shady stuff behind that.

Well, when you have a large part of the football culture built on trying to mislead refs and gain a critical advantage, respect for the refs is non-existent in many of these leagues. Rugby is too tough for that weak ****.

Ronaldo, Bale, Isco, Casemiro sitting on the sidelines and they were still beating Barca so comfortably they subbed on some kids.

Luis Suarez is set to miss a month or so because of injury. I'm starting to wonder if Atletico Madrid can finish 2nd this season ahead of Barca. I'm sure Barca will finalize some signings and be just fine. But I think it's possible Atletico can give them a run if they keep Oblak.

Then again, I must remember it's Real Madrid who have made Barca look pretty blah lately. They may win La Liga in Bayern fashion this season.
