Di Maria is great at PSG, but my god I wish he would go back to Real Madrid.

I dunno, he was super inconsistent at Real. He had that one really fantastic season, but even during that season he was very inconsistent, and they seemed to be a better team once he left.

Don't think he'd fit the current team either.

I can’t believe that jersey didn’t rip. These new Nike nba jerseys would have snapped off within the first second.

Boy did Swansea have a tough FA Cup match yesterday. They must have been chewing fingernails until the end! 😁

Watching the Augsburg vs Stuttgart match and right before half they stopped the match to check VAR, to see if a foul was committed on Gomez. The announcers started questing why stop in the middle of play 1-2’ (or longer) after it occurred etc.

Why haven’t they added more eyes to the pitch? For the ones that don’t like the way VAR interrupts the flow of play, how about more eyes on the pitch?

Anyone know why they’ve never added more officials?

That's Pau Morer of Moss FK against Tromsø IL, Norwegian second tier. Both players got booked.

I can't believe how long it took the ref to blow the whistle for the foul.

Norway is a liberal country. The ref had to consider Pau Morer's feelings if he blew the whistle too hard and too quickly. The regression has invaded the football fields...

Seriously, though, the possibility for an advantage was present until the Tromsø-player stopped running since there was 4 attackers vs 2 defenders. The refereeing was very good and the bookings were both justified. Morer could perhaps have been sent off for very unprofessional behavior.

                        Arsenal are still allowed here?

It's a no-tolerance policy on even an off-hand comment like that to prevent the boring and played-out bickering that can result. People around here will generally brush a comment like that off, but it's just consistently enforced across the site.

Fine. But we don't share the same views on football events either, but we seem to get along fine with different opinions.

EDIT: Oh, and I don't consider Arsenal a joke. I sympathize, as I know very well how it feels to not be "quite there". I can imagine it must be worse considering Arsenal were a great team not too long ago. Last time Spurs were a great team, I wasn't born.

Van Persie scored his 300th goal.

Due to injuries and resting players, Timothy Weah is going to be in PSG's team this weekend.
