Re: The All Other Leagues/Competitions Discussion Thread
It might be better for Bayern if they did not win the Bundesliga this year (but still get a top 4 finish). Jupp Heynckes was able to mask some of the issues they had last year, which were seen during Ancelotti's run and now again this season. They need a serious retool, and perhaps a not winning the league could spark it. The last time Bayern did not win the league, the next year they won the treble.
If not Bayern, then I'd say Dortmund and Leipzig have the best shots at winning the Bundesliga, with Hoffenheim, BMG and Frankfurt having an outside chance. Bremen and Hertha were mediocre sides with hot starts. To round out the big money teams, Schalke and Leverkusen with the awards for biggest underachiever and most disappointing respectively.Comment

Bayern will still end up winning the league by 10 points I'm sure. I really hope Dortmund hang tough at the top though, as it would certainly be refreshing to see Bayern knocked off the perch.

I know that’s the crazy part about Real. They’re a dumpster fire right now but they’re still within striking distance.
This is the year for a Leicester-like run for Alaves or Espanyol.

In the two weeks you reported that table, Rangers, Celtic, Hearts and Kilmarnock have all lost. That's quite a race that's happening up there.Comment

Barca not even playing well and still ended up demolishing Levante.
Messi now on 20 goals and 9 assists in 17 apps. Outrageous.
Fifa’s 5th best player in the world does it again.Comment

Levante wasn't even a opponent for Barca. Have you seen the last goal? Pique just went forward as a centre-back and they just let him score lol.Comment

Re: The All Other Leagues/Competitions Discussion Thread
This is the first year in a while that I’ve really followed the Bundesliga week in and week out.
I had Leverkusen’s away trip to Frankfurt on my DVR from Sunday. I don’t think I’ve seen a match on tv at Frankfurt’s stadium. I had heard they have an intimate stadium with strong support but damn, I didn’t know it was like this.
Really entertaining match too. Rebic and DeCosta were a handful. I was disappointed to not see Luka Jovic, some 20yr old on loan from Benfica who’s 2nd top scorer, but apparently he played midweek when they vs Lazio in Rome. Leverkusen man, so talented yet so bad. They leak the sloppiest goals. Nearly every match they’ll have a 2014 Brazil moment and leak like 2-3 goals in 15 minutes but they surprise me every once in a while and have been good in the Europa League. Weird season for them so far.
