Re: The All Other Leagues/Competitions Discussion Thread
Bayern will still end up winning the league by 10 points I'm sure. I really hope Dortmund hang tough at the top though, as it would certainly be refreshing to see Bayern knocked off the perch.

Hopefully for you Liverpool fans, now that I've posted this the notorious Hurst reverse jinx kicks in and Bayern loses their next match.
Edit: Reverse Hurst jinx works again.Last edited by bhurst99; 03-13-2019, 05:55 PM.Comment

Re: The All Other Leagues/Competitions Discussion Thread
In all too often poor handling of head injury news, David Ospina collapsed on the field today 30+ minutes after a collision which did not see him substituted.
Someone in a top league is going to die on the field before something is changed and it seemed like that moment nearly came today.
He’s now thankfully awake.Comment

Some Fiorentina fans were chanting “die” to a Cagliari fan who had a heart attack, and did in fact die.Comment

I know someone that approves of that result
Big one today between Holland and Germany. The Dutch have been on fire since late last year while Germany has been very ho-hum since the 2016 Euros.Comment

Brit’s ending for the Dutch today.
Got down 0-2 at home despite having a few great chances where Babel couldn’t finish. They scored right after the 2nd half kickoff and then got the equalizer and just all put pressure on them but Germany’s pretty much sole attack results in a goal ~88th. Really nice run and finish by Goertrzka (sp)

Re: The All Other Leagues/Competitions Discussion Thread
After a great run of form Leverkusen dropped two matches on both sides of the break. Wolfsburg was good but Leverkusen was generally the better team. Hoffenheim was just clinical with their finishing.
Both games the score line looked worse because Leverkusen was chasing but their defensive lapses are right up there with the worst of ‘em. They get caught out on breaks way too often.

Re: The All Other Leagues/Competitions Discussion Thread
Obviously you can only play the team in front of you, but the only Bund 1. team Hamburg played was Nurnberg. Who knows; they could get lucky, fade Bayern and Leipzig another round and play the winner of Schalke v Bremen in the next round.Comment

Bayern could have been knocked out today by Heidenheim. They won 5-4.
Süle got a red in the 13th, Glatzel scored 3 for Heidenheim, but Lewandowski won it in the 84th.Comment

Frankfurt beat Schalke on a 90+9’ penalty
99 – Luka Jovic´s penalty (@eintracht_eng) scored in the 99th minute was the latest penalty in #Bundesliga history since detailed data collection in 2004-05. Final. #S04SGEComment

When I saw the lineups, I knew something like this was coming. Maybe not by halftime, but yeah. This is Bayern’s best possible current lineup.

While I'm still hoping for Dortmund to win the league, statistically Dortmund have been playing way over their head. I think Bayern has it from here on out.Comment
