That’s why I will always love Balo. The amount of BS he’s endured his entire life is on another level.

Yeah, the punishment of fines and playing in empty stadiums isn't having the desired effect. At some point, some league has to take the brave step and starting docking points.

        Certainly won't be Serie A.

The FIGC is just about as big of a clown fiesta as it gets.

Also, just Italy in general it would seem.

Yeah Italy in general is pretty racist.

Tbh I'll never not be mad about Balo. He's become a bit of a meme, and a lot of people nowadays say his potential was always overrated. Total nonsense. He was Mbappe before Mbappe, one of the most naturally gifted teenagers I've ever seen. His unusual combination of skill and size, if he had ever delivered on his potential I am absolutely certain he would have been the third best player in the world.

His progress was ultimately hampered because that disgrace of a governing body, and fanbase really, decided mentally torturing a teenager was a pretty acceptable course of action. It's amazing he even played at the level he did, considering the sheer amount of nonsense he's had to put up with. People always blame his attitude, but the reality is his attitude was shaped by the treatment he received.

Probably one of the biggest "what if's" during my time as a fan. He's absolutely unplayable when he feels like it.

Yeah, I mean Balo still has to hear this stuff in two thousand and nineteen.

"Balotelli is Italian because he has Italian citizenship but he will never be able to be totally Italian," Hellas ultra chief Luca Castellini told Radio Cafè. When asked if Verona fans were racist, Castellini replied: "we have a negro in our team and he scored yesterday and all of Verona applauded."

              At least they're honest? Yikes.

The Reuters story Suntan Superman posted indicated Luca Castellini was banned from the stadium until 2030 for that radio interview.

Anyone watch the Copa Libertadores final? What a crazy ending as Flamengo won their first Copa in nearly 40 years. Gabigol will probably be Europe bound yet again, I'm just not sure it'll be with Inter. It's good to see him put in the work to resurrect his career.

France, Germany and Portugal all in the same group for Euro 2020. What a group!

I kept rereading when I saw that was the group a few minutes ago—I was sure I wasn't understanding something.
