And of course Real Madrid can't fully take advantage of Barcelona ****ting the bed against Celta. Gonna regret that later in the season probably.

Neil "Colin" Warnock back in football, in charge of Cardiff in time for the severnside derby w/ Bristol City on Friday.

I love it when the stars align this way...

P.S. He's already signed Hoilett, Chamakh & Samba. How long before Paddy Kenny and Clint Hill come aboard?

And I bet the majority of the Villa fans are livid that Steve Bruce is close to becoming their new manager after previously managing Birmingham City.

I thought it would take Joey Barton longer to pull a Joey Barton.

Joey Barton will not report back for training at Rangers on Monday and is unlikely to play for the club again.

Joey Barton will not report back for training at Rangers on Monday and is unlikely to play for the club again.

The midfielder, 34, was suspended over a training ground row in September and has since been charged by the Scottish FA for breaching gambling rules.

Barton, who remains on full pay, was asked to attend a hearing at the Scottish Premiership club but refused.

It is understood talks between both parties have reached a stalemate over the disciplinary process.

Barton joined Rangers from Burnley on a two-year contract in May.

But, after eight appearances, he was suspended by the club following a reported altercation with team-mate Andy Halliday as players reviewed September's 5-1 defeat by Celtic. He was due to return on 10 October.

he SFA then alleged that Barton had breached rules by placing 44 bets on matches between 1 July and 15 September.

Rangers subsequently announced that the player had been told to stay away for another seven days after launching a "formal disciplinary procedure".

Barton asked for more time to consider the SFA charge against him.

The parent body's disciplinary rule 33 prohibits players, coaches, club officials and referees in Scotland from betting on football anywhere in the world. A hearing is now due on 17 November.

In Barton's absence, Rangers have won three, drawn one and lost another in all competitions.

Capped once by England, Barton has made more than 400 senior club appearances in a career that has taken in spells at Manchester City, Newcastle United, QPR and Marseille.

He has won the Championship with Newcastle and Burnley and was also part of QPR's Championship play-off final-winning side in 2014.

Gadbach absolutely imploding here this season. Honestly could have had 2 red cards in the first half instead of just the one.

Right. Also, they just cannot win away from home. That's terrifying.

Nevertheless, good oppurtunity for us to get closer to the upper midfield tomorrow against Bremen. We cannot even afford a draw in my opinion. Currently four points behind 11th place - which is the just talked team about Borussia Mönchengladbach. 8 games unbeaten speaks for us and it should be an easy win against an average and inconsistent side like Werder Bremen. I hope i don't jinx it.

Andre Schubert is not a good coach. It was an overreaction to remove the interim tag after he won 6 straight last season. Since then, Lucian Favre got picked up by Nice and has them in 1st place in Ligue 1.

Thank god i didn't. Great win yesterday! After those 5 losses at the beginning of the season it is so fun to watch the team right now. Still room for improvement, but after that horrendous start i'll talke 9 games in a row unbeaten.

I thought the opposite. It was a good move by Gladbach, but right now, he obviously can't get the hang of it. He don't know what he is really doing and he seems overchallenged with the situation right now. Difficult to say what will happen. Max Eberl knows what he is doing.

Since then, Lucian Favre got picked up by Nice and has them in 1st place in Ligue 1.
Which was a great pick-up. Honestly, i was a bit nervous and scared when we play against them in the Europa League, because Favre is a really good coach when it comes to tactics and he had a decent record against Schalke when he coached Hertha BSC Berlin and Gladbach.

The loss against Caen yesterday was unnecessary. Meanwhile, Monaco scores half a dozen goals and PSG also comes closer. Could be a fun season in the Ligue 1.
