Xabi Alonso seems on the path to being a pretty good manager.

It really is an end of an era at PSG.

Marseille ultras made the manager quit after 7 games.

The President as well. He got death threats. Totally sane and rational behavior.

Every now and then I talk to someone rather new to following in the sport in any European capacity, which essentially means the Premier League, and whenever they comment on how rabid and crazy the supporters seem I think or say something to the regard of yeah, its pretty tame in England compared to the actual insanity elsewhere on the continent.

Rafa almost got a huge win against Barca, but they blew it in pretty epic fashion.

This has to be the worst own goal I’ve seen. Not even Man United could dream of something this sexy

Barca goes from a loss to not even just a draw but a win with 3 goals in 9 minutes and then Real Madrid loses to Atletico.

Plus, City-owned Girona are in 2nd place.

                        Now craziness with Ajax.

Match with Feyenoord abandoned after Ajax fans threw flares on the pitch and rioted.

Then the sporting director is unceremoniously fired when he was just hired in the summer. He was at Arsenal previously and made his name at Dortmund. (Sven Mislintat)

                          Barca drop points at Mallorca.

Kind of shocking that they awarded Barca a penalty for a challenge on Yamal and then took it back and didn't give the penalty. It was the right call not giving it, but usually those go Barca's way regardless. Maybe the check got stuck in the mail.

Other Luis Suarez scored 3 goals in 5 minutes for Almeria. Then they blew the 3-0 lead.
