    Re: Soccer Trivia Time

Lmao I just realized I never answered this. I was waiting to give more people a chance to respond and then just completely forgot.

    Anyway:

Fastest to 50 was Andy Cole with 50 in 65 games (Shearer was second with 66 games)

Youngest to 50 was Fowler, beat Owen by 4 days

      Re: Soccer Trivia Time

Hard to say who won this.

Tim picked the second place person in both categories, both of which were quite close, Keano and Liverpoolred both picked Fowler which was correct for youngest but he barely cracks the top 10 for fastest.

SMH, 2nd time you've held up the trivia thread Brav, get your head in the game.

I'll go since I'm in full Friday afternoon mode at the office. Trying to find a good one.

Which 4 nations have finished runner up at the World Cup, but never won it?

Hint: One of them does not exist today

                Hrmm.

                Netherlands for sure.

Hungary probably, because they were a powerhouse at one point but I know they haven't won it.

Last two I'll just have to guess. Country that doesn't exist anymore could be USSR but I don't know if they've ever been "World Cup Finalist" good. Only other country I can think of is maybe Czechoslovakia.

Shot in the dark, I'll go with the Czechs and Colombia for the last two.

                  Ahh welp.

                  Keano is obviously a cheater.

Haha, it just happened that I read a thread by a guy who takes countries who lost in world cup finals and never won and wins with them.

Who are the five players to reach 50 PL goals before their 23rd birthday?

                      Fowler and Owen, obviously.

Cristiano Ronaldo, Wayne Rooney, and.....Lukaku? Not sure if Lukaku has 50 yet, but I'll go with him.

I figured it was probably Lukaku or Kane and I didn't feel like agreeing with Tim

Was it Aberdeen under SAF? No idea the year.

Presumably right before he joined United so I'll just say Aberdeen in the early to mid 80s
