I'm not saying he has to throw players under the bus but saying general statements like "we didn't execute" or "we were just off today" is much better than blaming the pitch.

He was also taking shots at West Brom by twice bringing up then playing in the Championship next year which just makes him look like a sore loser.

Add in Spurs again winning nothing (except the fourth place trophy) and you've got the makings of a gloriously magical season.

Champions league again, something nobody thought Spurs would get while playing at Wembley. Anything else in the season would have been a bonus.

People need Spurs to be considered a failure just for the world to make sense sometimes lol. Just let 'em hate.

I think the often issue is that due to the constant hate/banter/teasing it's hard for Spurs supporters to not feel the need to be defensive—I get that, it's very understandable.

Here's the thing, though, and as I've said before I don't say this as someone who consistently and actively goes against Spurs (they're not my least favorite club, not by far). When is qualifying for and doing well in European competition not enough? When is getting into the late stages of domestic cups not enough?

At what point does their situation become eerily similar to Arsenal, from trophy drought to the new stadium? I honestly don't think the new stadium will solve any of their issues, and if anything it could cause new issues. Increased match day revenue will not be enough to change their entire financial situation.

I find their current situation very, very interesting because there seems to be a consensus (not necessarily here) that they'll move into the new stadium, continue to work on this "project" and eventually win something or have a breakthrough. But, how long until enough is enough and the narrative switches from "they're working to something" and instead to "this is no longer working" or something similar.

Of course, I don't want them to win something, but I want United to win far, far more. I just can't pass up the obligatory "lol spurs" but I'd much rather see what everyone else thinks about where they're going, what players they'll keep and for how long, will Pochettino eventually be lured away? Will a new ownership come into place seeing as the club has been financially well run for so long and then a bigger change will occur?

I dislike Spurs, but I can't help but find them incredibly fascinating.

Since I'm a relatively balanced guy who doesn't have a gold fish's memory, I'm quite relaxed about the lack of trophies. I'd rather have this team who plays great football week after week than having what we had in the 90's which were below par for the most part but managed a trophy here and there.

I also rate the constant rant about lack of trophies the same as I rate those who thinks Messi needs a WC trophy to be considered "best". They're idiots, all of them. I don't really care what idiots say.

I, for one, am glad that Pochetinno doesn't consider winning a trophy a priority when you'rethisclosetoit for CFHT. 4th place and "sexy football" is more than enough.

Klopp is sounding a bit on an entitled prick here. And to say that WBA earned a "useless point" when they're still mathematically in contention for the safe zone is nigh disrespectful. I suppose West Brom should have just bent over for Liverpool to get those 3 points by right.

Did Poch ever say that? I know he said winning the FA cup wouldn't move Spurs up a class, only winning the league or Champions League would do that. But I never saw him mention it's not a priority to win a trophy.

And Klopp always sounds entitled. At least he admitted if they won he wouldn't have said anything so he's honest about it, I guess.

You are correct, but considering the FA Cup is a trophy that has some prestige, and Tottenham have only won 2 trophies in the past 25 years while being hailed as one of the 'top clubs in England' without any silverware to show for it, you'd think the manager of such a club would try to validate that success with some silverware if he were in a position to do so. Don't you think you ought to win something before you talk **** about a cup as being beneath you?

What's the point of having one of the best strikers, defenders, young players, & playmakers if you're not going to win anything with them? Do they hand out winner's medals for football clubs who 'play the best football' according to journalists? We'll find out in four years. At least Spurs are getting in line.

It's not like he didn't want to win the game. He was just saying winning the FA cup wouldn't move Spurs into a new level, and it wouldn't. Spurs would be put in the bracket before the United's, Barcas, Madrid's and Bayerns of the world until they start winning the league or Champions league. Outside of England, nobody cares about the FA cup, I think that is Pochs point.

Look at Arsenal, they have recently won the FA cup more than anyone but nobody gives a crap about it.

I would have loved to win the cup just to shut people up about a drought but in the end, we all know it wouldn't change anything. Everyone here knows they would then change to Spurs can't win the league or can't win Champions league.

I also think people give Poch too much crap when he's doing the same thing other managers do before big games. Trying to take pressure off his players. All the players hear is from the media about Spurs NEED to win. Poch is trying to relax that.
