CCV proved why he should be in the starting XI. I think he is such a step up over Zimmerman in the back with his strength on the ball and in the air.

Also our inability to kill a game off is crazy. Parking the bus when we had so much offensive pressure was an insane decision.

It was tough tho Brahv. Having to sub off Pulisic and Sargent who’s hold up play was good today kinda limited the options. Then McKinnie isn’t fully fit so there’s 3/5 subs you have to make.

Zimmerman was the right sub though, he was good in the air. Moore though is very suspect but it’s not like Dest is a good defender.

Haji was pretty bad tho. There was one hoofed ball where he should have easily shielded it and drew a foul and he just casually moved out of the way.

I thought Carter-Vickers was **** but that might be me looking at him through my Arsenal tinted glasses.

Was the US the best team in the group? It sure seems that way... at least the most consistent.

One Yedlin mistake away from 3pts vs Wales.

Could easily have been a7pt group stage. Not far from 9, if any of those close chances vs England are made.

Is this a serious question? England scored 9 goals, the US scored 2. England +7 GD, US +1.

I'm proud of the US for getting through, that's enough for me. They'll probably exit on Saturday (I hope not!) and that's OK. I think it's a bit delusional to ponder if they were the best in the group though.

Depending on who you trust, his match rating was between 7 - 8 everywhere. That's a pretty solid performance for a guy that hasn't appeared in the USMNT since 2018 (I think?). With the way system he plays at Celtic, I think he's the perfect fit at the back.

                    No it didn't, at all.

If there is a better way to say "Absolutely not" then that is the correct answer to this last statement.

Only allowing one goal in 3 games is pretty damn good. We just need to score and we can get an upset on Saturday.

USA has at best a decent team but lack seriously in ball skills and aren't really fast enough to make up for that. Out early in the knockout stage. Until there is enough incentive for the best athletes to play soccer/football this is just the way it will be.

This is the worst Mexican team I've seen in a long time.

Glad the Polish GK saved that Measi pk, as it was bs anyway as the header was off before he even got touched.

I've lit a fire under them. Mexico are 1 goal behind Poland on current goal difference. Both on 4 points as it stands.

EDIT: Argentina have scored again. Poland and Mexico have identical records. Comes down to discipline currently. Poland have 4 yellow cards and Mexico have 7
