Shows how slim the margin is for a narrative to change. If the US doesn't score against Iran it would have been kind of a disaster. Now it's OK-ish that they made it to knockout round at least.

One of the worst calls of the tournament. I don't understand how a ref can look at a VAR replay and think that's a penalty.

You’d have to go back like 10 years for this take to be accurate lmao.

Our “ball skills” were not the issue in any of our games, hell our midfield 3 actually completely controlled the midfield in all 3 games including England. A large portion of the current squad plays in Europe, with a handful playing for some of the biggest clubs in the world.

Our current issues are our coach being terrible, and not having an elite goal scorer. Our attack is actually pretty good, but they can’t finish a sandwich and every team we play against knows that, it takes a lot of pressure off their (opposing defensive players) shoulders knowing there isn’t that one guy they really need to worry about.

Zimmerman was the right sub though, he was good in the air. Moore though is very suspect but it’s not like Dest is a good defender.

Haji was pretty bad tho. There was one hoofed ball where he should have easily shielded it and drew a foul and he just casually moved out of the way.

Lmao, there was another ball up to him into space and he literally couldn’t be bothered to sprint to it, despite the fact that he had been on for maybe a few minutes. It was nuts, legit just jogging around like he’d been playing the whole game.

Was hoping to see Mexico go through.

                Rather them than Poland tbh.

Well, that was less than ideal

Finished with the same record as Qatar and only a better goal differential by one.

Hopefully, we'll do better at home in 2026.

Three straight really bad showings in major tournaments in a row for Germany. Out at the groups at the last WC, only Round of 16 at the Euros, and now this.

Still not sure why they let Low stick around for at least one too many tournaments. Things got stale.
