The Athletic did a detailed breakdown of the complaint. Chile shot themselves in the foot by also challenging Castillo's birthday. If he was in fact born in 1995, then he would have the required time (5-years) of living in Ecuador after turning 18-years old. Chile should've just complained about birthplace and let it be because then Castillo wouldn't have enough time to be eligible to play for Ecuador under FIFA laws.

I was probably one of the very few non-Scots hoping Scotland would win. Ukraine through to face Wales.

I'm hoping for Wales just because I think having the US/England in with another one of the UK sides is interesting.

      Happy for Ukraine though.

3 minutes in and Ukraine all over Wales. Already had the ball in the back of the net but the Free Kick was taken before the ref was ready.

Crazy that Group B will have England, Wales, and USA.

I get people wanting Ukraine to get in for symbolic reasons, but football matches are pretty damn meaningless in the context of what that country is going through, despite what people might say or imply.

Looks like they are about to be kicked out.

Ecuador's FA had been investigated by FIFA over the allegations raised by Chile, who finished seventh in South American qualifying and missed out on a place at the Qatar tournament.

England being taken to the woodshed.

This Nations League might be just a bunch of glorified friendlies but England have been abysmal in all 4 games. No goals from open play.

And Costa Rica secure the final WC berth with a 1-0 win over New Zealand.

Essential viewing when those group stage games become a little too dull:

                      Episode one of several.

In addition to the games, I’m curious to see the coverage this gets and what is/isn’t talked discussed by folks.

Let's just say certain people and companies will suddenly be less strong and "brave" and supportive of certain causes. Gotta make that money.

Such a weird rule but the correct call. Chelsea had that happen to us this year with Kepa but he actually knew the rule and played the other team offside.
