Pretty sure the rule changed a year or two ago regarding the ball coming off a defender, which is why this was ruled offside.

Bingo. They repeatedly let White do whatever he wanted to do with the keeper. They've had issues all seasons, and post-game Ange was a bit dismissive of the issue. But hey, he was their...third choice?

I thought the rule was “if the defender actively plays the ball then an attacker in an onside position won’t be judged offside if they touch the ball first after…”

I could be very wrong though [emoji23]

Spurs losing is always the funniest scenario but at this stage of the season I’d rather see them win a single game than Arsenal win the title.

Don’t think City will pull it off at Spurs, but Arsenals record at Old Trafford is just as bad as City’s at Spurs new stadium.

Everton may have the chance to do something incredibly funny.

I am also extremely nervous about Arsenal winning the title [emoji23]. I was nervous about the UCL because that’s literally the only thing we have over them.

I think City handles Spurs although Forest were very good yesterday. Nuno just Nuno’d like I’d never seen before. Tactically he thwarted City but he let them take a corner down to 10 men which they scored on before subbing someone on for Nico Williams and then his CB (Murillo) pulled his hammy and didn’t sub him. What happened next…Murillo gets in a 1v1 vs Halaand and Erling does him dirty. Murillo is subbed immediately after [emoji23]

I think Everton are going to coast now that they’re safe/ruined Klopp’s farewell tour.

Dyche teams are always on the beach the last few weeks.

If top 4 is not an option then I can see Spurs losing to City

Regarding City, I'm pinning my hopes on Wolves, but I'm more concerned with Arsenal's three matches (Bournemouth the most, and not just because it's first).

I know it was a bit ago so everyone likely forgot, but remember when Spurs were for some reason considered a title contender?

                  Weird.

No one took it seriously though Kreb.

My brother’s a Spurs fan. I asked him how’d he judge the season so far. He said something along the lines of.. “If you’d had told me 5th after we sold Kane I’d bite your hand off. To be top, then it all crumble after the loss at home to Chelsea, AFCON, and injuries was crazy but we need reinforcements so hopefully with ending the season poorly will spur Levy to spend.”

I don’t know if Bravh feels the same way but the game on Thursday was oddly calm, like I never felt Spurs were going to score and we leak goals. They didn’t even play a high line, they just looked bad against an 8th place team with no senior players on the bench.

I’m just trolling—but I recall one if not two individuals here very much after ten games not caring that I pointed out Spurs had not faced much of a challenge, and thinking they should be considered for real or some nonsense. It’s easy now for everyone to say well it was never real or serious but that is not how they were being discussed early in the season.

I also don’t buy the whole Spurs fans being content to again not be in the CL. Finishing below Villa shouldn’t be a moment of shrugging shoulders but instead a realization that the top is more crowded than ever.

I’m not saying the season for them is a failure, but the consistently moving goalposts for them and Ange is annoying even though it’s expected.

I hope Kai is okay. Brutal challenge, but at least we got a goal from it. Way to sacrifice for the club, big guy.

Took the ref 95 minutes to FINALLY book Ryan Christie. Could have seen red in the first half. And at least a couple of yellows.

Back-to-back promotions for Ipswich. The Tractor boys back in the big time for the first time since 2002.

Perhaps the main reason I'll happily swat away any 'durrr Bournemouth were hard done by' claims. Should've been down to ten early, and if you make no intention to play the ball in the box but instead put the keeper off from claiming a ball in the air, it's a foul. Pretend you're going for a header next time, Dom.
