    Re: 2024-2025 English Football Thread

Michael Oliver booking Havertz when he was bleeding from his cut was prime Barclays. I’ve never not seen the physios come on for a situation like that.

I knew Arsenal was full of [emoji90] when the Rice news broke out. I had no doubt we’d see their strongest XI from the start. Arteta is the Belichek of footy in that regard.

Tight match, could have swung either way late but a draw is probably the fair result. Would have loved to send Arsenal into full panic mode over the international break.

Oh please as if we weren’t already in panic mode.

Hahaha, PL ref likely drunk, coked up, or both (I’ll go with both) sharing his thoughts.

        Can’t make this up

He’s been suspended indefinitely pending investigation. Good

I hope people keep telling me they're just awful at their job and that their personal bias never have any impact on the incredibly subjective decisions they make on a weekly basis.

Wow—apparently his immediate reaction was to claim it was not genuine, but has now admitted that it is.

Can’t stop laughing that he let some random dude he went to do after-bar lines with film him. Absolutely wild

Which is hilarious because why would the world’s best deepfake video to date be to bring down PL referee David Coote?

I’m just enjoying these two weeks. What a great time.

Sweet. Now the discourse surrounding weekly matches will be even more dominated with non-stop ref talk. Didn't think that was possible. [emoji2357]

I actually think you guys go on a run now that you’re ~100% healthy. You’re already faced

                    Villa (A)
                    Spurs (A)
                    Brighton (H)
                    City (A)
                    Liverpool (H)
                    Newcastle (A)
                    Chelsea (A)

That’s 7 extremely tough/tricky fixtures in your first 11 played. Yeah the margin for error is going to be slim going forward but your next ~10 or so matches all look winnable and there aren’t any difficult UCL matches sprinkled in between

I didn't want to be the one to harp on it, but that league schedule especially in terms of those away matches is a bit ridiculous and both red cards against Brighton and City are the type of thing you won't see the rest of the season.

(But the performances specifically against Bournemouth and Newcastle were horrendous.)

Most of us. I’m beginning to think Brav is an OF scam bot since there’s no Discord server yet

Leicester should be down to 9 men. 2 bad challenges by Ndidi and Soumare.

That Ndidi challenge was awful. Can’t believe it wasn’t a red
