He's been rumoured to be going to Villa Park for a while so I can believe to an extent. O'neill & Keane are both Irish so they have a good connection already. He's the type of player that Villa need. John Carew is getting older and Gabby can be a frustrating player at times. They need a goal poacher which they haven't really had since Dion Dublin. Robbie would suit their style of play.

Doubt we will see him in a Spurs uniform come August.

I really don't care if he signs for Arsenal, but I don't know if I believe he'll sign for United. They've come out numerous times and said they're doing barely any buying this Summer, at one point even saying they're buying one player.

SAF said that last year and signed Owen on a Free Transfer. Cole is a Free Agent, they just have to agree to his contract demands.

I'm devastated.

We have no use for another injury prone winger. Would rather have the injury prone winger thats already on the roster.

This is why I never pay attention to stories that say "player wants to play here". It's not the same as the club saying they want said player.

I think he is either going to United or Arsenal, and I don't want him at the Grove. Because free transfer or not, he is going to want a huge salary.

I agree that his wage requests are a little high but he didn't play winger for us last year. When he played he was primarily at the head of the diamond with Lamps & Malouda out wide. Even our wingers don't get really wide, they leave it up to the WBs.
