Luis Suarez to Liverpool for £23m/€26.5m

Liverpool agree £23m Luis Suarez deal with Ajax

Liverpool have agreed a fee to sign Uruguayan striker Luis Suarez from Dutch club Ajax for £23m.
The deal for the 24-year-old striker is subject to Suarez passing a medical and agreeing personal terms with the Premier League club.
Liverpool initially bid £12.7m for Suarez, but Ajax told them to come back with a more "respectful" offer.
That led to Liverpool almost doubling their offer to tempt the Dutch giants to sell the forward.
Clubs usually have to pay a premium to sign players during the January transfer window - Bosnia striker Edin Dzeko reportedly cost Manchester City £27m earlier this month - and Ajax have made a £16.6m profit on a player they bought from Groningen for £6.4m in 2007.

Juventus have completed the signing of defender Andrea Barzagli from Wolfsburg.

Inter Milan will sign Samdoria striker Giampaolo Pazzini for €10 million plus striker Jonathan Biabiany and a youth team player, according to Sky Italia.

The Pazzini move should allow Macheda to get more game time.

Sticking Bale at fullback would be a waste of his talents IMO. He shouldn't have to worry about defense. He should only be worrying about wreaking havoc down the left in the final third.

Agreed. In a 4-2-3-1 formation, Bale definitely fits best on the left side of the '3' versus the '4'.

I thought he was talking about Lukaku since supposedly he wants to come to the EPL over the summer and isn't Wenger interested in signing Hazard?

Yeah, I want Romie Rome. Fernando in his current form isn't worth 40mil and I like Sturridge. When he comes on he's an injection of pace and life.

I always forget Lukaku is Belgian. That Belgium team has quite a bit of young talent.

Wenger is interested in Hazard. Like just about everybody else in the World. The problem is the price tag, which looks to be very steep. The good thing is he wants to go someplace where he can actually play and knows that Madrid can't afford him that guarantee.

Hopefully Lille comes down on the price a little as the 35 million pounds they want is a little too much.
