Pretty sure he's always said he wants to play at the highest level (league), and when he can no longer play at that level he'd retire.

I'd be surprised if he went back to the MLS for that reason but I guess anything can happen.

A) I dont think he flew back here, me thinks he was already here in the states.

B) Everton have been on a preseason tour of the States, most recently in San Francisco

He scored a couple key goals. There's just too many players that can play his position(s) there.

If he's looking for consistent PT he will get it at Everton.

I think he was pivotal for Spurs, 3rd in scoring to Bale right? Scored 2 goals in the last Europa match as well that were key.

Sooo - yeah, his age is key. I think he left Fulham too late honestly, but it's okay. As long as he doesn't retire - I'll be happy wherever he goes.

I am actually all for this move; I think Dempsey will get shoved out of position for a younger guy after all. He could be the Phillip Neville of 2013 @ Everton!

He just isnt good enough for a top 4-6 club(To be in the first 11 that is)

Yeah, yeah, ITT - come on, man. Still scored against Man U twice; scored at Southampton match winner and 2 goals in the Uefa quarter-final.

But yeah, he may not be cut out for 4-6 tops now; but you guys know I'm pretty biased - there's not too many guys out there that have been underestimated as much as Deuce has in his career - only coming back to prove everyone wrong time and time again. Gotta root for a guy like that!
