Looks like Newcastle will make Christian Atsu their 12th summer signing tomorrow. On a season-long loan with an option to buy. Also a surprise 4.5m move for West Brom's Callum McManaman could be in the works before Wednesdays transfer deadline to make him our 13th signing!

Still no word on Sissoko. He hasn't played this year in 6 games. We are holding out for 35m pounds. He has been rumored to be going to a number of clubs this year including Madrid, Arsenal, PSG, Juventus, Man Utd and Dortmund.

I think he's a good squad rotation player if he commits to that role. Idk much about his personality/temperament though.

This makes me less confident about Benteke in my weekly fantasy team.

Also, Hull are finally adding some players!! Just confirmed Ryan Mason will be joining from Spurs on a club record fee.

Sissoko is an amazing player when he wants to be. Best player in the Euros final against Portugal.

Newcastle fans don't like him because all he talks about is going to a 'bigger' club. Not something that would endear him to a fan base.

These are the kind of guys they need to quit signing. Those who see Newcastle as a stepping stone. Hiring Rafa and convincing him to stay was a big step in the right direction.

Agreed. The transfer policies under Mike Ashley have not been about building a team more about buying low and selling high. With Rafa getting total control of the team AND transfers it has been a different story.
