FoxSoccer.com is reporting that Arsenal have officially signed Samir Nasri. Transfer & contract details were not disclosed, as Wenger would only say that he signed a "long-term" contract. A related article implies that this should pave the way for the sale of Aleksander Hleb in the coming days.
I love the signing, maybe even more so if it finally pushes through the sale of Hleb. Alex obviously wants to leave, so lets get what we can for him. I imagine the transfer fees will be comparable, which fits nicely into Wenger's overall financial scheme. Not to mention that Nasri should prove a good match for the Gunners style of free-flowing attacking football. Hleb never seemed content with his role in the squad, aside from the brief spell last season when he was deployed in the center of the pitch playing just off of Adebayor. I believe he stated multiple times that he was not comfortable playing out wide. I think its also important to remember that he only scored 10 times in three years in North London...
